I use a dry bag similar to the Ocean ones pictured when going to the beach (can be for diving, trip to some island etc..) . I never used it on the bike or for rain purposes.

The Hydro-Sac is nicer in that it's backpack, the other dry bags have only one strap so you wear it across your chest. So if you prefer the comfort of shoulder straps, the backpack is a better solution and I agree it looks better.

Now, if this is to prevent from the rain when commuting, I don't think a dry bag is a good choice, and here's why: I think you're a person who likes to pay attention to details and design, and a dry bag looks bulky but also is very..well..heavy duty kind of feel and look.

Why not take a backpack that's cooler, which will also give you more storing option (a dry bag will most likely give you only one big pocket of storage with no compartment inside, and maybe something outside - easier for waterproofing, so when you have lots of items, of different size, it's super messy, you just throw everything inside..not very practical for daily use).

There are backpack that have an included rain cover. I used to have one and it's excellent: you pull the rain cover over the bag, it's 100% waterproof in very heavy storms. Some bags also have inside waterproof lining that ensure the laptop or gadgets will not be tempered with because of the rain.

I just think a dry bag for a WE trip or off road trip is ok, but daily commute it's not very easy to handle and quite bulky because of its fabric.

Hope this helps !

Agree it looks bulky but my current Targus laptop backpack also the same bulky feel although i dont know what is the exact measurement size. It does come with a rain cover but it doesnt cover the whole bag becos of the shoulder strap hence water will sip in someway or another hence again..i dont have full waterproof protection during downpour even though i wear raincoat. But yea thanks sista..it truly helps..makes me consider more to get dry bag or not based on the factors u pointed out..

One way for me to know is go down have a try n feel moments..hehehe..

Thankx again ya :)

Err u will be 80 to 90 percent dry lox, not fully due to the fact that there are chances water will enter our sleeve while riding. Unless u get water proof gloves to reduce it.

Bro Kira, can I ask you a few questions about some part, since you've used them :

- short clutch and brake levers: you used them I suppose for the Ducati ? Do you think Titax brand would fit on a pulsar ? Now for the riding, do you think shorter levers are appropriate for a street bike riding position ot it's best for sportsbikes because you're leaning so easier to amnoeuver the clutch ? Is it difficult when the lever is shorter ? (I have big hands, probably bigger than most guys hands here in asia :p so not a worry about the size but more about where to reach to grab the clutch in a safe manner..)

- The brembo brakes: been eyeing brembo stuff for a while.. same question about the fit with pulsar, they fitted right away or you needed to adjust something ? You don't have the break fluid cylinder stock anymore do you , so how did you choose the one you picked, any compatibility issues I need to be aware of before I go screening for a new one ?

To O'ren Jie Jie,

The lever n breaks comes in a set, the explaination is due to the fact after u changed to brembo breaking system

U do not need that much of a effort to break, due to the sensitivity of RC 16 Brembo break system.

Take stock break system

For an instant I need a long lever due to the effectivness of breaking is lower and in emergency u need the extra length.

Going to work now will continue later

O'Ren and Kira... just for your info MotoWorld is the Titax sole dealer .. that is what I was told .. yes Unique Motor got them from Moto World too .. Unique package price are cheap cos they plug here and there to make it cheaper that's my opinionlah .. then price will change if once you opt to upon recomendation by them to opt this for that ...

I think you check with MotoWorld on their package too for what they can offer .. maybe slightly expensive but worth the effort for comparison what the items included in the package. I went there last thurs and were offered the braking and clutch system package ... tempted too but I have to onhold the offfer first as I still have 1 big project on trial to do on my bike ... hehehe

I am used to 2 fingers breaking from my pervious rides, that's why I op for short plus e looks more erm.... Nicer lox.

Difficulty is lesser for u if u change the clutch system too, lot less hassel and it last for a long time, the mech will help you bleed the whole breaking system again due to the fact they need to make sure the liquid inside ur breaks are the same and to make sure there are no bubbles in it.

Hmmm Big hands wor, well lots of Ang Mo also uses short levers de, depend on what ur looking for. Safety wise short has the same useage, it all lies on how effective is the brand of Breaks u have on ur Ride.

Once changed must ride slower due to the fact u need time to adjust to the new system timing. It can be a challange but over time u will adapt.
