back... relized that my bulb is in a wrong watt and thats cause my engine not so stable..i mean backfired.. so what happened is got too much patrol in chamber but not enough to spark... so when the spark came... bang... short form is the timeing was wrong due to not enough power cause the bulb was sucking out the power... but soon need to check my wheel barrings erm felt very diffrent... or maybe i put new box...

 

 

new box should not affect your bike much

maybe just the weight at the back

what bulb u using?

That time i dono where is um because the main beam blow..so i went to bikeworks and i guess they put a 60/55w light

then i just now went to um and the guy say no wonder the engine is forcing it self due to not enough power so he change osram 35/35w... btw its my second time to send the bike to service so unsure alot of things... my first time due to a cousin recommend me.. but far leh its at ubi... so by looking at this forum i got confident to go um... plus there is rough price guide that u guys posted..

maybe you can ask your friend to check us out at this thread

on the 1st page there is a detailed explaination of the different models ie UG

for 2nd hands you can find P180 UG2s,P180 UG3s,P200s...very difficult to find P180 UG1 anymore in singapore

for new bikes currently there is only P200s left in stock from UM(after clearing their stock UM likely will not be bringing in anymore P200s cos india already stop production for the P200s)

they are still waiting for the P180 UG4s stock to arrive and awaiting Pulsar 135LS to pass LTA testes before they bring in

for the P180 UG4 the only difference from the P200 is that the P200 has oil cooled engine and the P200 is 20cc more and the P180 UG4s have a clip on hadle bar as compared to the rest of the models

the rest of the outlook for the P180 UG4 looks exactly the same as the P200

basically they share 2 spark plugs(dts-i), theres a torque expansion chamber in the exhaust system like 2 strokers(exhaustec), and cdi switching(cant think of another appropriate word) with each throttling level(trics III).

p180 - quite alot ehz between models. since i only familiar with the most recent version i just tell u wad i know.

upgrade 4 --> its the rojak of p180 p200 p220 . hahaha alot of similar feature here and there. can onli get 1st hand but dn know if got stock.

if list out then would be damn long. i advice u to google it. cheers

wad does UG1 2 3 means?

and how is the maintenance?

i think my friend is more keen to get 180 than 200. coz is lighter so better FC.

correct me if im wrong.

this question see how u ride. if u dn always whack the throttle like racing, then 1 full tank can definitely go above 600km+ if nothing wrong. maintenance nth special just that the p200 need use a lil more engine oil(~200ml more). need 2 spark plug then the rest the same ba. not every model got kickstarter, the newer once only have electric starter. if anything got to do with internal engine, electricals i suggest u go back agent fix. some mech u go the shop show u expression like the bike is alien hahaha but if normal change tyres, accesories like better handgrips, mirrors(ours are yamaha thread if i not wrong) then go anywhere is ok. (added info:hey, once i was waiting for the rain to stop at shell pump station, got one grandpa come ask me if my bike is ducati or not, i just laugh hahahahahaa.)

and haktek, the super4 bellies the hkl shop beside justwheel can do for u, rxz bellies can go ah boy, agl buy and fix. they will use brackets to mount it on and trim it so it can fit

please do read the 1st page of the thread

there is explaination of the difference of UG1,UG2,UG3,P200,P220(Singapore dun haf)

mileage per tank depends on the riding style,braking,loading of the bike etc

we have mileage ranging from 33km/l-60km/l(legendary UG1)

maintainence wise if you do your servicing at regular intervals should not be expensive

of course there will be the normal wear and tear over time where you need to replace or change parts

as long as the engine parts are not replaced the cost should be managable

kick start wise only P180 UG1,2,3 has

UG4 and the P200 don't have

 

 

onil spark and eo.

if suay suay engine part spoilt, we can find those part at anywhere or just UM?

how u guyes get thoes belly pans... feeling like getting one....

 

there is no belly pans that are design for pulsar in singapore

servicing to the engine itself is expensive

so please do take care of your engine

and YES UM is the sole distributor of pulsar parts

even if you go other shops

they will still go back UM to get the pulsar original parts

u might want to check your reflector to see if there is any melting

the belly pans u bring to the bike shop u bought it they can mod for u

if not bring dwn to UM also can

I completely agree. The other day I went to do a engine oil change to a different workshop. EO change is so simple right? what can go wrong?

 

Well, the uncle didn't tighten the drain bolt. The next day I saw oil dripping from the drain bolt. Although it was very slow and not much oil loss. I had to go back to the workshop and ask him to tighten the bolt fully.

May '10 - Jun '11 : Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTSi UG2

Jul '11 - Jan '12 : Honda Phantom TA200

Feb '12 - Jul '12 : Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTSi UG3

Aug '12 - Current : Bajaj Pulsar 200 DTSi
