Check your clutch cable adjustment at the handlebar. If the "biting point" is too close to the handlebar (e.g., must pull the lever almost all the way to disengage clutch), your clutch plates may not be seperating, therefore, can't shift to neutral easily. Easiest fix is to "loosen" the cable by unscrewing the adjuster so the "biting point" is now further from the handlebar. May also be caused by worn/bent shiftforks, hopefully that's not the case.

For the sand sound, has been mentioned many times on the forum before, it's bits and pieces of exhaust or exhaustec components in your exhaust. To confirm, turn off engine, take a rubber mallet. Look under your bike. Attached the the bottom part of the exhaust header, there's a square box. Take mallet and tap UPWARDS on the box. If you can hear tinkling sound, just go to UM and ask them to weld exhaust. Or, can just remove exhaust and shake out the bits n pieces, but the sound will come back fast.

tik tik sound when engine is off is normal, just contracting metal parts.

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

I think P180 also 40-45 kmpl under normal riding conditions in SG. If you ride at constant 40 km/hr then you will get lovely FC may be above 50-55 kmpl

hi rev .... to be honest that is also not a very good thing to do with your engine for a long run .... hehehe

here I qoute from http://www.lazymotorbike.eu/

Increase the rpm's

After break-in, it's important to get the engine through all available rpm's.

You can even begin to do that at the end of the break-in period.

So, from time to time, let the needle crawl until the red area.

But take your time to get there: let the needle crawl as slowly as possible, just as you had to accelerate at the green light, during the first kilometers.

Uneven

When you would forget to do that, the cyclinder would stay uneven: the cylinder would have been polished smoothly, apart from a small area in the upper part: that area will only get polished when the piston gets a very high speed, at high rpm's.

So you really have to ride at thos high rpm's from time to time, to get the cylinder smooth all the way.

ps .. have sometime to read the link .. there are also good infos to know which bike we belongs to ... whether power or torque

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

Finally was able to test out my rear tire in super wet conditions

but not in the situation that i hope to test it in

was riding back home with my gf to have a change of clothes due to the heavy rain just now which caught us unprepared

was on PIE and on the 1st lane with my high beam on for better visibility

in front of me was this blue merc who was travelling at 70km/h on the 1st lane

i slowed down behind him and wanted to lane change to the left to overtake him

as i was checking my blind spot, the side of my eye caught him JAMMING his brake(the front of him was clear, min 3-4 cars distance from the car in front)

i am very sure he did this on purpose:angry::angry::angry:

lucky i reacted fast and jammed my brake(my tires hold up well under the super wet conditions, if not would have ended up in the hospital liao)

after i slowed down,i lane change to the left and at the same time horned him

when i passed his passenger window i stared at him(can't see his face cos heavy rain)

and showed him the middle finger:cheeky:(was damn pissed off, already soaking wet and he purposely do this)

after i overtook him, he still got the cheek to horn me back

i was still pissed so i showed him the middle finger again when i cut back into the 1st lane before i picked up speed and went off...

stupid idoit driver

no idea what the F*** he is thinking:angry::angry::angry:

trying to commit murder is it...:angry::angry:

too bad have no camera mounted on my bike

if not can show you guys how idoit this driver is

I meet drivers like that everyday, it's endless. I no longer rush to anywhere... Just take my time.

It happened today to me also, I just muttered in my helmet (that sounds funny), "It's ok, just hope that ni bu de hao si". Can't remember what I said exactly, it's not that evil :)

Not really cursing him but I just told myself that he'll get his karma someday.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

chill bro, just treat the roads like twisted metal

the only reason that i am pissed & mad because i know that he jam brake purposely

he never give way and road hog i don't care

but purposely jam brake so that the vehicle behind will have an accident i care

somemore i am not tailgating him, was about 1 bike length behind him

and he brake for what...

no speed camera,lane is clear...

somemore before i check my blind spot to prepare for lane change i got look ahead to see that in front is clear so that the merc won't suddenly stop

then i go ahead to check my blind spot

lucky saw him jamming brake from the edge of my eye
