Lolz.. Thank you all for the explanation of 1st, 2nd and 3rd party insurance. So for a beginner, I think I'm going to go with 2nd party insurance; that should suffice right?

Changing to Petronas mineral engine oil is without incident.

pickup is slightly more sluggish, and top speed dropped significantly from 120kph to 105kph.

fuel consumption remains unchanged.

changing gear requires more force (like new!).

In all, works fine for a person who uses his bike mainly for work.

on another note, i noticed a disturbingly large amount of carbon when i changed the spark plugs before this.

its probably from all the backfires that i keep on doing previously, heh heh. speaking of which, doing backfires has become more difficult to do so ever since i changed to mineral.

i guess you can forget about STP additives when mineral is already so thick?

:)

1) the parts can be found in Universal Motor... the agent in singapore. i think it might cost slightly more compare to other bike brand parts but pulsar is a strong bike that dont spoil easily, so i think it offset the higher cost. plus the saving you get from petrol.

2) sorry.. i only own pulsar before. dont know can use what bike to compare the vibration with.

3) 100km/h is not a problem. look a dozen pages back... you will know who clocked the top speed in pulsar liao.

hope it helps! :cheeky:

flashing as in constant blinking type or on awhile off awhile not constant?

if raining maybe a drop of water closing the circuit for u lor.

if not wat grade EO u change? alot of things will affect the light to flash.

it is flashing... as in blinking constantly, i stare at it a good 5 - 10 seconds, then i turn off... wait another 5 - 10 sec, ON again then ok liao... :giddy:

Change the rear sprocket with lesser number of teeth hence the RPM will be lesser when travelling at 100km/h compare to stock therefore less vibration will be felt. If I'm not wrong the number of teeth for stock is 44 teeth.

Decrease the rear or increase the front.

You do the math, by increasing the front sprocket, the gear ratio will be lesser

For vibration its very subjective....differs from rider to rider....if you ask me my pulsar(ver2) has NO vibration....y??? compare to riding my classic vespa...get my drift.....To rephrase dont worry abt vibrations youll live with it plus a gd solution has been said by kano :thumb:

Yup changing sprocket gears helps in reducing the vibration.

Also maybe changing your gloves to padded also can help.

For the foot, wearing thin slippers definitely feel more vibrations than a pair of boots.:cheeky:
