Just wanted to update that while we were going on our trip to Malacca day before yesterday, there was a road block by cops on the Malaysian highway and there was slight jam for a short duration. Since we were in bus, we had no problems.

how r u? hope u r fine. If u read this, den I wana ask u something. Y dun u bring in the p220 or 230? Y u bring in 135? Doesn’t matter where its xcd or LS. If u say market no demand for 220-230 then I think theres no demand on the 135’s or ug4 as well. Sure, there are ppl who bot the 135 n ug4 and im not agaisnt it. however, Recently, a lot of peple, friends, and relatives prefer getting either the ug3 or p200. Ive seen lots n lots of p200s and 180 on d road. I even saw 5 p200s at my workplace carpark. Im not good at business marketing, but if u say no demand for the p220-230, then it doesn’t make any sense to me bringin in the 135's. U get wat I mean? So please give us your reply on this so that our humble readers out there can see. im sure some of us wants a taste of p220-230 rather than a 135.

Ps, no, I dun wana send u email privately.

Agree totally with Gaban, For sure, the P220 is more exciting than the Royal Enfield Bullet. Compare the sales figures for the 2 in India, there is no match.

Dear SC Gaban,

Thank you for your opinion and feedback.

Many issues need to be cleared before we can decide to introduce any new model or not.

Not many bikers have Class 2A licence. Appx 80% of bikers only have class 2B licence. More likely a biker will go for 250cc upward bikes if he has a 2A licence.

The small volume sold do not warrant complete spare parts stocking. Imagine how a biker will feel when he cant get the spare for his bike.

The pulsar 135 is the cheapest bike you can get in Singapore now. At $4,600 O.T.R excluding insurance no other brand and model can match. It even cheaper then Wave125 or Spark. This bike will appeal to economic conscious bikers who want value and fantastic mileage.

Thanks again for your feedback and understanding.

Rgds,

UMPL

Probably due cold air in the engine (engine condensation/water contamination). When water and oil mixed together the texture and color changes (milky). The cold air in the engine which contains water did not get burnt totally. This could happens if we did not warm up the engine enough when park during cold weather overnight or riding habit to ride on multiple short trips without the engine getting hot enough to burnt the cold air in the engine.

Flushing engines can helps to clear the internal parts to remove excess milky oil or any dirty oil but it will happens again if the riding habits is still the same. That's also not to say that to warm up engine one needs 10 to 15 mins before riding off .. this is also a bad habit .... wasting fuel and time.

To change eo every 2000 km also is not a good for your pocket if you used fully synthetic or even mineral. For mineral 2500 - 3000km should be ok as long as we top up the eo level when it's on low level. For standard full sythetic every 3500 to 5000km since it is slightly expensive but worth the money to protect the engines longer. But for high performance in racing, the full synthetic eo can only last for 1 particular race only. So you need to choose wisely which or what is your objectives to use that particular eo especially full synthetic racing oil.

For KNN air filter, if you really want to use it, knn RC1060 is compatable with pulsar manifolds but yet again what is your objectives to change to knn ... yeap like alvin stated you need to cut or remove your airbox .... there's a lot of cons than pros too if using stock carb .. good sound and pick up but not good at end speed and also not good for your engine in the long run if you are using stock cv carb. To get optimal results, you need to change pulsar stock cv carb to jetting carb eg keihin PE28 or mikuni 28 should be sufficient. Alternatives for air filter, you can opt for Protect air filter similar like knn material ... definitely better than our stock one.

You can contact cookie monster since he got stock .

Ooops .. just saw your last post ... I think UG 2 can't use the protect filter since ug2 air box is smaller than Ug3, ug4 and p200.

ok... erm my stock carb is dieing soon due to rust at the choke area (the mech say so)... now at gear 5 on a gentle slope (at highway) has no power at all.... the mech said that its your carb having the problem not the engine... herm thanks for advice... where to get the carbs and filters?? price wise??

PS. i long time nvr post hahahaha.. :) Racun me more...

Thanks for the reply.

As for new model, I think the p220 is older than the 135LS. I dun know if its 80%, I think it would be around like 65-75%. I might agree with u dat the 135LS is cheaper than the wave and we both do agree that pulsar has a high reputation for its FC. However, seeing the big picture, I dun think a lot of riders will be eyeing on the 135LS. Instead, thered go for p200 mostly. This is just my personal preference. If u do a research on the net around the world, countries like Indonesia, philipines, south America and some parts of the world will like the 135LS because the road condition they have differs to us and they might sell their 135LS like biscuits. The 135LS might attract middle age/old folks and some youngsters who have just passed their 2bs who have less knowledge about motorbikes. But the statistic that I roughly estimated shows that theres growing numbers of 180-200 than the 135LS and ug4. Folks in singapore mostly go for speed and looks than FC, especially youngsters. I doubt that the 135LS and the ug4 will survive in the long run, especially in signapore. Then again, just my preference. Im not saying that u should abandon the 135LS though. Well, in the end its up to you guys to decide.

Another issue I wish to point out is that, I receive lots of complaints from others about waiting time for servicing. They have to wait a few hrs or even half a day to get some minor things done. I myself was shock when I came early a around 9am to see long queues on a Saturday morning and even on weekday afternoon sometime. Folks will get fed up but they got no choice but to wait because UM is the only main service center here. Some of them felt that they were forced or are compelled to service at UM due to the parts.

Im glad that theres growing numbers to pulsar riders here. However, u must understand that not all customers have the luxury to wait that long for servicing. Most of us have work commitment, especially dispatch and delivery riders.

Regards,

Space Cop gaban
