Just overhauled my P180. Serviced all the time at UM. Usually taken care of by Ah Loong.

The new P200 is calling me in my sleep so no choice have to get. See Thread here:

usually if a bike is over hauled.. what are the parts in a engine likely to be changed?

Met 2 stupid taxi drivers in 1 night

 

Stupid taxi driver 1:

His stupid act was not caught on screen but can hear me horning him...

The driver of the silver cab in the video at first turned towards the taxi queue at TTSH,as seen in the clip,then last minute decides to not join the queue and just turned outwards accelerating towards me as i was heading towards the exit of TTSH

Caused me to swerve to the side to avoid him...

 

 

 

Stupid taxi driver 2:

He slowed down and signal, i thought he was going to change lane to stop at the taxi stand just in front.

Then he jammed brake and change lane straight away to pick up a passenger who flagged him before the taxi stand...

taxi drivers r reali scary ppl..especially silvercab!!! i condemn dem(totally becoz my bike accident was due to a silvercab causin me to fracture my hip). ride safe bro..trust no1 on e road except ur own instincts

So far my encounter with UM is they dun really ask u to change unless it has to be replaced. Anyway all parts changed is recorded in my receipt.

Hey guys, Today morning I couldnt start my bike. Normally my bike starts in a single crank. Today I tried some 50 times still didnt start. I tried kick start and that also didnt work. I adjusted the idle RPM also.

 

Then I tried push starting couple of times and although the engine came to life but I forgot to clutch-in in time and I was running with the bike and finally the bike would switch off again. A kind person in my block tried to help me also by push starting but by then I was too tired.

 

Finally I just left the bike and took the MRT to office.

 

Can you guys please advise, what could be the issue? Is it the battery? But normally it starts in a single crank. How come all of a sudden died? May be battery is at fault but then push start didnt start also, but now I am thinking that while trying to crank many times, I might set the idle rpm too low and hence the push start didn't start.

 

Any suggestions? Should I straightaway buy a new battery and try or just get it towed to UM?

I think choke in my bike is not working. Even normally, when I pull choke there is no difference in rpm or engine sound. Today also I tried pulling choke( the switch on the left side handle bar) and there was no difference)

just pull the choke to the highest, turn the throttle a bit n electric start. hold the start for a bit like 2-3 sec. if it cranks up n starts, ur rpm should shoot sky high, dont worry, let it for a while n tune down. dont hold the start continously or the starter will burn out.

 

if the electric start can crank, that means ur battery is working.

 

the kick start is a bit hard to do, from cold start, it'll take me 10-20 kicks just to start.

 

check if u turned off ur fuel line also. i did that mistake a couple of times.

 

where u stay? if nearby maybe nite time can visit u.

might be a lot of things...

starter motor,magnetic coil,cdi,spark plug,batt etc...

the easiest to check is batt...

you have voltmeter installed?if have what is the voltage shown when you turn on your power?

if not take a multimeter to measure your batt voltage...should be 12 v...

for me is the gear box, it's in terrible shape now, cos i ignored it for a long time. to chg the gear box need to stip out the whole engine, so consider overhaul.

confirm part chg is the clutch plate, otherwise they strip ur engine for nothing. other parts depend.
