Are the side mirrors new? If so, $24 is a steal. If 2nd hand, might as well go to scrapyard. I got my standard Honda side mirrors for $15 without bargaining

Got d mirrors new at 24 bucks. Couldn't argue with d man cos needed d mirrors I had replaced pronto

cos old set was kinda screwed up! Hehe..

Morning Shadow riders,

Just bought a shadow 400 and was told by the ex-owner that the sprocket and chain need to be replaced . Appreciate recommendation from all the seniors here on good and reliable workshops to get it done. Also what's the estimated cost as dun want to be carrot hahahah.

I would suggest Rosli @ Kaki Bukit Autobay. Or Planet Motor @ Ubi Rd 1, or First Motor @ Ubi Rd 1.

Thanks Mike.

Just a little elbow grease to keep things shiny but sadly, it's the start of the rainy season here.

Btw, Eric is coming over on Monday. Hope we can hook up and do some shopping. Hahaha

Hi Seniors here,

Like to seek advice and feedback. My shadow was jerky on 1st gear especially so when throttle up and it felt like the engine is cutting off with piak piak sound. Times it also occurred on 2nd gear when throttle up. Send to motor shop and they quote me $2,000 for fixing up all the problems (chain, sprocket and the throttling probelm as mentioned) and claimed that it will last me the next 7 years till COE end. A cheaper quote of $700 or less to fix up the bike but with no warranty or guarantee. Feedback and advise from senior here, please.

just go to planet motors bro. need to change, he change, no need to change he wont change. he wont quote u such crap. where got such thing? $2000 to last 7 years, $700 to not last. thats crap. just go planet motors, tell him what you experienced, ask ah chong to help you do a test ride to see if there are other issues. very trustworthy and good. :)

i agree. $2000 is nonsense. can try Rosli as well. very experienced and knowledgeable. a little pricey. but not a cheat like the shop you went to.

Of course I trust my skills. I ride alone cos I don't trust the competency of the driver next to me.

hey all. how do you guys deal with wet weather? while the top of my jeans which is directly under the assault of the pelting rain remain dry. the whole underside of my pants, where i'm seated is wet. i'm thinking its the flaw with the shape of cruiser seats. cause they form a little pool where water can collect there. and the rain pants can't deal with constant immersion. any ideas?

Might as well go back to Boon siew Service Centre to do if u really going to spend that kind of money...

Is your seat original or has it been repaired or re-upholstered?

Posted
i think it has been reupholstered before. does the original seat not have this problem?

If the reupholstered fabric is not good leather or fake leather, it could absorb more water than the original seat.
