Honda Shadow 400

I am a newbie, just learn and got my 2b 3years back.

 

Basically Shadow and Steed are both cruiser bike made by Honda but in difference model, even though both are 400cc.

 

Price of COE are the same for difference bike, be it 100cc or 2,300cc. all under Cat D Motorcycle.

 

hello bikers am new here, used to ride a steed in 1994 for 3 yrs and have switched to cars since. the itch to ride has always been w me after so many years lol...

 

now d qn is can anyone tell me d diff btw shadow n steed, recently saw a springer for sale n am actually thinkin of gettin one of d 3 mentioned. sorry for d qn as i ve been out of touch w bikes for years...

 

would also like to know d avg price for a coe steed, shadow or springer.

Diff Scrapyard works differently. But no scrapyard does fixing for you.

 

Go there tell them wat part of wat model you looking for. they will look for you then tell you how much depending on condition and stuff.

 

Some parts even bike shop got keep so no need go far far. Just need to ask.

Just found out that my exhaust on my shadow ace is damaged after my visit to the workshop. The price quoted by the workshop was too high and i don't have the budget for it now. Any idea whether there is a stockist that carries this part? What are my options?

Any bro can help. I suspect my bike battery is low.... while I'm try to access to the battery compartment.....to bring it home to charge...

 

I unscrew up the allen key screw at rear...i try hard to remove the small seat behind...so that I can remove the whole seat....I tried pulling it ...which doesn't work..

 

Any bro can advice how to get the seat to get to the battery.....

If I remember correctly, I think you need to push to release the catch. I think. Can't member. But lift the main seat up a bit and you can see how it's connected

Can...Ace750 n 400 same specs only engine capacity different.

Checked the internet and it's unit 5A. When going into No.27, it's on the right hand side.

I didn't get Shadow 400 mirrors but some other Honda mirrors I believe were Super 4. Still a bit better than the original Shadow Aero.

My initial complain to the first mechanic was the heavy vibration i was experiencing on the bike when i cruise at 100. Secondly is that the bike struggles to reach 110km/h. I've changed my air filters and washed my carb, but do i need to tune it? I bought this second hand, and i've never ridden a shadow before thus my inability to draw a comparison with other shadows. Can anyone advise or help? Thanks.

I've had the same problems initially when I first had my Shadow. Did a full servicing to check everything. There could be a lot of problems, like forks and wheel bearings. Air filter, carbs, chain, sprocket, tires etc. Bring it down to Rosli for a check. He did a great job on mine. He has shifted already. He's now Kaki Bukit Ave 6. Need to enter by Ave 4. His shop is on the 2nd floor at the end. #02-45 to be exact.

Think like PBS said..you go Dr' Cruiser n check. If someone can Rosli is the man...

Shadow shouldnt have problem getting to 120 with ease...
