I've had the same problems initially when I first had my Shadow. Did a full servicing to check everything. There could be a lot of problems, like forks and wheel bearings. Air filter, carbs, chain, sprocket, tires etc. Bring it down to Rosli for a check. He did a great job on mine. He has shifted already. He's now Kaki Bukit Ave 6. Need to enter by Ave 4. His shop is on the 2nd floor at the end. #02-45 to be exact.

He shifted again? Dang, I didn't know that

Not again la. From the old place at Singpost there to Kaki Bukit there.

I say again 'cos before the old place at Singpost, he wasn't too far away, I think 1 block away?

anyone can advise what's a suitable brand /type of windshield for shadow, and where i can install one?

tks

You can consider Givi windshield which is the same as the windshield shown in Honda Japan website under Honda Shadow Accessories page.

That are new prices. I mean are there any OMV valuve for these 2 bikes after say 10 years?

My apology as your question was not very clear. I have yet to come across these two models of ten years old or beyond in the shop. There is no one fixed price in our market here since the value of the motorcycle is determined by its age, condition and demand thus, it varies since only Customs is able to assess OMV based on the price actually paid or payable for goods when sold for export to the country of importation, these includes purchase price, freight, insurance, handling and incidental charges. For used condition, I would safely place the value between 25% to 75% conditional based on the new price I mentioned earlier on.

You could purchase a brand new piece through ordering from local agent, Boon Siew, local importer, Mah Pte Ltd etc or online via ebay. I got mine from Lim Ah Boy but, I cannot give you an affirmative answer that suggests this shop still has stock for it. You could consider checking out the Aunty shop along Kelantan lane as this shop does sell accessories for Honda Phantom and I have chance upon a handle bar that looked very similar to Honda Shadow Ace handle bar.

Good luck!

Greeting from Thailand,

Since the Honda Shadow 400 and 750 has exactly the same body frame, does anyone now if I could mount a 750 CC engine on my Honda Shadow 400?

Regards,

Eric

If the engine and body frame bolt on joints matches, why not? However, please take note the differences between Honda Shadow Ace 400 and Honda Shadow Aero 750, these are two difference models. Therefore, you should be looking at Honda Shadow Ace 750 chain driven model. Please do check with a qualified mechanic before committing your purchase.
