what needs to be change had being change etc EO, filter,coollent n basically all what u had suggested had been change...(now wallet quite thin liao... hai...)

 

just now went to lorry carpark n wack the engine, was wah...c the carbon gao gao pump out frm pipe+backfire+got those rusty colour smoke come out... but still continue wack the engine...till cannot c the carbon smoke... Personally feel shiok aft lut the engine as can c so much carbon being clr...wahaha....

 

so tmr try again, c how the bike fair... as today raining so must ta lei a bit...

can install back rest frm vtx with luggage rack onto shadow400cc with this metal parts attach (c pic)? as the vtx is straight bar while shadow is semi circle bar next to the rear fender.

err...dun sound right. Clearing carbon is not a literal thing i think. Get it checked properly.

went dwn to the sXXX kXXng to chk on the price for a fabricate backrest +lugguage rack.

cost me cls to 400 bucks... so got a second hand backrest with luggage rack n ask to fab out just 2 bracket to replace the existing bracket was quote cls to 200++...think got to put off this idea liao...So any guys here got other alternative thks.

if you really must have a new backrest, these are the only ways.

alternatively, ask around any bikeshops that you come across.

you never know what kind of gem there have in there.

I got my ACE backrest from a dirtbike shop. talk about against all odds.

Saw the shipping cost almost = to item cost (still cheaper compare to fab locally) so likely to source for other metal wrking company locally or hongkong as found out that there are items for crusiers in ebay hongkong.

 

Might be a good lead for those newbie cruisers looking for crusier stuff.

As long as modification is done to the exhaust, u need to tune ur carb in order to get optimum performance from it. Air fuel ratio especially.

the cable connecting to the sparkplug on the left side of engine the one nearer to thigh area.

does anyone kanna electric shock by it. small tinggling feeling when touch the cable.(cable was ok with no exposed wire)

due to the ignition voltage of KV... it is natural to feel the tinggling feeling.... cos probably the plug insulation is not perfect........ some will feel it ,some will not ...depend how sensitive u are ...or how thick skin u are also

Hi every1, need some advices frm you all as I'm new here. Recently, viewed a FP plate selling at 3.3k...Is it expensive or the price is around there? And also is there anyway to spray the paint especially at the chrome area so that easier to maintain eg. Matt black. Pls advise, tk q so much evey1..

3.3k is a pretty good price. But check condition. If it's a super rusty and bad engine like one I saw last time then dun bother.

 

You can get hi-temp (must) paint and DIY spray. Any hardware shop have. Just remove whatever parts you want, use newspaper and masking tape to protect and cover parts you don't want and spray away.

Hi everyone in Shadow thread, I am thinking of getting a Shadow as leisure bike.

As I do not have any knowledge on cruiser bike, hence I wanna ask if there are any website then I can browse regarding Shadow information?

 

I am actually eye-ing on the bike that one of the forum guy is selling, his username is 'nerd'. He is selling his Shadow for $3.5, COE end at 2017.

Will try to contact him to go see the bike.

 

Meanwhile, hope I got info on the bike here.
