Thanks for the comments and suggestions bro.

 

I did peak at 130 kmph again but I couldn't push it further anymore.

Too much vibration and the strong winds made me duck under the winshield.

Maybe I should work more on my gearing?

 

Cruising at 110-120 is so easy now. Minimal vibration (maybe the kuriyakin

grips helped also?)

One thing for sure: Stock is Good.

 

and I was contemplating of changing my exhaust when I come back from HK

 

I'm not sure if Kuryakyn ISO grips will help reduce the hand vibration but I can guarantee your hand grip will be more comfortable

Hi Guys,

 

Just got my Shadow today.

 

Is it normal to have the red oil light to light up when the power is switch on?

 

It goes off after i on my engine.

I means the oil pump turns on. Once the oil circulates, the red light goes off.

And the yellow light goes on if you start it with the side stand down.

Yeah, no more hand fatigue. It's very nice to grip but the rubber will harden over time. I know my Shadow has but it's still better than the stock grips

bros any idea which kuryakyn grip model will fit on a shadow 400 ACE nicely?

Cos I read that Japanese metric bikes handle bar diameter is 7/8' but when i try to measure my handlebar from the middle(between risers), it's 1".

 

I wonder if this means my grip end diameter is also 1' ???

depend wht kinda bar you'r using..

2 tone bar wld hav 1inch in th middle & 7/8 at both bar end.

if you'r using a full 1inch, th whole bar from end to end is 1inch.

usually, grip comes in 1inch, we uses extra rubber/whtever to fit it on 7/8 bars.. unless playlife kinda grip, its rubber, expandable.. can fit 7/8 & 1inch.

Assuming that your ACE has the stock beach bar, the kuryakin 1" grip

will fit nicely. Choose the grip for ACE750.

 

Just installed one a month ago. Ordered straight from the store. No problem. They also have kuryakin bar ends.

I ordered the stiletto type. Here's a picture of mine installed in a Shadow ACE 400.

im not sure if yours is a 2 tone bar..

shadow ace has a 1inc bar by stock, not a 2tone. =\

slasher wise, im not too certain of that..

getting a 1" grip wld be a wiser choice i believe.

personally i changes my handle bar pretty often, 1inch, 7/8inch, so yea..

im using a 1" & ive an extra pair of playlife rubber grip..

so, grip wld hardly be an issue on my part. (:

Yup, should be 1". The other one is for Harleys. At least you didn't make the mistake I made. Good thing I kept the 1.25" that I wrongly ordered and used it for my Harley
