i wonder the latest model of shadow 750cc don had the kind of Ace exhaust,it is their trademark of shadow family

 

The ACE exhaust is it the 2-in-1 or 2-in-2? The current Shadow Aero 750's are 2-in-2, just like Steed

The 97-03 ACE is more like 2-1-2. It starts with 2, then enters a single (1) chamber, then out in 2 tubes again. They designed the tip to have a slight slash so it looks like one big pipe but if you look at the end, there's actually two smaller pipes inside.

Welcome to the Shadow thread.

 

The simplest way to post pictures here is the use the Manage Attachment option located at the bottom of this page. You can see it if you click the Go Advance option. If you want to post large pictures, you need to have your picture "hosted" by another website. I like to use www.photobucket.com.

Your bike is one word; BEAUTIFUL! I especially love the chrome, the saddle, and the front foot rest...

Haha.... I'm a sporty uncle mah.... yes , it's a 400cc shadow. It was well maintained when I bought it.FQ plate. Exos juz replaced the original...a bit noisy, hope our white frens dun catch me...lol

U just got the bike? Just pass inspection, straight away change exhaust? :)

Can share what is the damage?

Any more affordable mod to share?

Got my ride a month ago...passed my inspection.Happened to find a bro who had this exos for sale at a cheap price and can self install without mod, so juz bought it. Planning to get studs for my seats too, if not so expensive....

 

As for the steering cone bearings , issit the ones at the bottom of the fork? I juz replaced them at $30 for the 2 pcs.

Steering Cone bearings are usually found in the frame (near the usual ignition key position).

Did you mean wheel bearings? $30 for the front wheel bearings?

BTW, the foot rest is nice. Where can I get those and the price if you know? Looking forward to see those studs if you get them. :)

I just got a simple Shadow 400 ACE. Trying to see what needs to be fixed.

The handling seems a little out of control (swinging left & right vigoriously) when I went pass rough part of the road.

Handle bar seems a little warp.

Odo meter is not working.

These 3 things are bugging me a little for now. Might go down to shop on mon to fix it.

Very dangerous, bro. You better have them checked and do the necessary fix as soon as possible. Steering and handling are very important. You might want to check your tires and rims too. Also check your spokes. They may be loose or misaligned.

the silver pipes at $100? saw it few days ago in the garage sales too ;D

Could be tires problem when wobbling. Mine can let go hands after changing new front tire recently.

PS : Sorry, footrest passed down from previous owner...I was still thinking to change to big eagle footpeg.

yup bros, i also scare. didn't ride for 10 yrs and not familiar with the bike, hence for a start, bike has been on min usage for the past few days. hv been hearing a lot abt rosli. shld be paying him a visit on mon.
