just out of curiousity, what brought you back? =) everytime i come sbf, i keep coming here even though i riding shadow's grandson -> phantom 200 just to see the pic of your bike

i wonder bro johnson get his shadow already?

 

I did view quite a number of Shadows - just that I was unable to decide in buying anyone of them yet.

 

And there was periods when I was too busy and did not look around at all.

 

But one thing for sure, I had been reading all postings here - the questions, replies and experiences shared are super!!!!

Haha...didnt know my bike caught yr attention so much...I came back to riding due to my wife needing to use my Mit car for work...so I sacrifice and ride during weekdays.

Hey Shadow 400 owners...

 

I have a pair of Hepco Junior Flash 40L side panniers + rack (original Hepco) for Honda Shadow 400cc.

 

Box condition 8/10 (a few scratches at the silver panel)

Racks are new, bought from M-Teknik last month. not used.

 

Reason for selling: I prefer top box

 

Price selling at SGD 750 (non-nego)

I replaced front tyre IRC 120/90/17.cost me abt $130.

i going to change the front tyre. the thread look very new, but its manufactured in yr 2003. must be so hard until it does not wear any more. grip must be affected also..

on the way to rosli, front brake also got inefficient. ask rosli to help look at it too.

Rear tyre punctured in the middle of the highway. Luckily i felt the bike wobbling hence stop immediately at road shoulder to check, i cant imagine what will happen if my bike stops in the first lane.

Just tow my bike to Planet and will be changing both rear and front tyres since my front tyre thread is finishing soon. :)

Any bros here have a rough figure on how much it costs to change both rear and front tyres?

Did checked prices before I changed my front tire recently, should be around $250 to $300 for both tyres..btw it depends on wat brand you choose.

shadow running on tubeless or tube? tubeless be much much better man.. insert a worm and u'r done.. $2 only...

If original rim, with tubes bro.

I saw Derreck of DareDreamer selling tubeless, aftermarket magwheels for Shadow ACE in facebook.Looks like the magwheels from a Magna. It must be expensive.

- Towing Fee (SGD 20)

- Dunlop Front and Rear Tyres (SGD 290)

- Front Inner Tube (SGD 15)

- Rear Inner Tube (SGD 25)

- Trome Stebel Horns (SGD 40)

 

Total Damages: SGD 390

All the above were done at Planet Motor

Ya as mentioned by bro OneHeadlight, mine are running with tube. Hence damages is higher cuz need to replace inner tube as well. :)

bro, does the horn come with relay (actually is there a need for relay?)?

any idea how much does it cost to do alignment at planet? after changing steering cone bearing and front tire, wobble problem not so much. but just realised bike sway to right when i let go my hands.

try to change to tubeless if possible, if not very troublesome.

 

tubeless, with small pucture can still last a while n allow u to find a bikeshop

tube, with small puncture, think less than 100m, already flat liao...

 

The best way to do that is change to sports rims. Any ideas where to get it?

any idea if shadow planning to do a 2011 model or something? After getting 2A , planning to get a shadow, but the war horse getting a bit old =P
