hi guys! im interested in getting a shadow but ive looked all over the forum, sgbikemart and all but cant seem to find any. any ideas where i might be able to find one? many thanks in advance!

Bro, getting a nicely done up Shadow is quite difficult nowadays....but some shops still hv shadows but not good condition ( outlook ). I think there's one at Rosli's shop in Autobay, if you're interested.

Steed models hv more avail online here, if you really cant find shadow...

hey bro thanks for the prompt reply. yeahh i was interested in steeds initially, went to check out a few but couldnt find something good( factor in the price and cost of all the mods i want), but recently there's this nice shadow in the carpark below my block and im kinda attracted to it.

If you're prepared to mod, then can get a cheap but not so nice looking shadow from shop n start yr mods and finish with a new coat of paint....

Actually, I'm looking for a shadow for my fren too, who waiting for his 2A test....

Other than daredreamer n auntie shop, u guys know where else can buy floorboard n crashbar for shadow? Dun intend to custom make, just wanna buy from shop e ready made ones.

My shadow servicing: Change EO, Filter, Sparkplugs, Fork Oil and oil seal, Clutch plate >>> $350.

 

Now I'm broke till next pay (2.5 weeks later!!!)

Everybody's doing bike service lately. Everybody's broke too.

think the clutch plate is the killer in the case.

But dun think u need to change clutch plate unless it auto drop gears or stuff like that.

clutch plate should be quite lasting mah.

Hi guys I'm going to view some shadows and just wanna ask what are some things for me to note when viewing? Not really sure about crusiers cos I'm riding a vespa now! Also, can the speedometer on the tank be removed and fixed elsewhere? Thanks people!

Yes, you can remove the speedo by detaching the wiring harness. Just be careful because the speedo is a combination of analog and digital gauges, so bring it to an expert.

i decided to change as bike has already clocked a mileage of more than 100 000 km. but my bike is still a little wobbly despite having new fork oil and seals. could be several other reasons. I don't think there's anything wrong with the steering cone or wheel alignment. tyres? Springer seats? i don't know..

anyone out there got any ideas why this may be the case?

 

 

think the clutch plate is the killer in the case.

Im surprised you changed your fork oil and seals to rectify the issue.

On top of the things you mentioned, could be suspension, uneven tyres and the bearings of your steering cone.

i changed the fork oil and seals cos the suspension was already too soft. thought it would alleviate the problem. now my suspensions are better but problem still remain..
