accident. help please.

hi bros, just met with an accident yesterday. a van infront of me jam brake, i also jam brake but my friend behind me couldnt stop in time and collided into my rear. Im gonna claim from his insurance since he collided into my rear but the van which was brought to the workshop claimed that their cost to repair was 700 when there was only minor scratches on its rear. what should i do now? should i get them to claim from my insurance or my friend's since he was the one that collided into me and thats why i hit the rear of the van. if so, would it affect my insurance premium next year? im a p plate and 19 years old. please help. thanks.

Bro, nowadays almost everyone has a camera phone. Did you take the photographs at the vehicle that claim too much? Another point to note, bo pian, you can claim from your friend who bang you from the rear and exchange collision occured.. In the accident report or insurance report you must know how to draw and explain the details clearly. Hope that helps.

This appears to be a chain collision and things get complicated. Report it to your insurer immediately and take instructions from them.

i have knock on the car front (Mazda 3), and just 2 line on the car...

and the claim come up to $3000+! from mazda motor they change a new bumper (dunno why need to change) ! and spary and 3 day lost of use!

 

so $700 is nothing at all!

Don't tailgate, it can be considered dangerous driving. I think it is safer to further the distance at higher speed, and espescially large vehicles (like van, lorry, bus, trucks) which obstruct your view further front of the road.

TS in chain accident the last one at the back must pay everyone involved in the accident... if u are not the last person in chain accident all u have to do when the van ask to claim u, u jsut say talk to the one behind that hit my backside will do..

 

although its ur fren that hits u... but lets face it... u have to claim from him...
