After watching both performances by Cook and Archuleta, I have a very strong lingering feeling that Archuleta may just win the American Idol... :argue:

 

if that lil boy wins...

it must be his cute lil bubbly face that gave him a notch higher.

The tree-lined avenue

Begins to fade from view

Drowning past regrets

In tea and cigarettes

But I can't seem to forget

I hope that this season will be the year of the ROCKER! I'm tired of the kind of winners we had in the past. Let's have a rocker win for a change... :cheer:

I just finished watching the finale too! David Archuleta is good but my vote goes to David Cook because of the last song!! :cheer:

 

Both are good singers :thumb:

The 8th season of American Idol will start from the 14th Jan 08 on every Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10pm. I'm looking forward to a good laugh from watching the tone deaf wannabes in the first few episodes... :clap: :lol:

Watched the premiere yesterday. Totally LMAO. And also love watching Paula and Simon catfight. And another addition to the judging panel, Kara.

Seriously, before watching AI8, I have no idea who this Kara is. The two Kara I know are one, Kara played by Helen Slater in 'Supergirl' and the other Kara is the brand of coconut milk... *lol*

Just finished watching the first 2 episodes of AI! Some of the auditions really crack me up! :lol:

 

But there's this story about how the guy's wife died few weeks before the auditions really made me weep. :(

I was more impressed with the visually impaired tunnel vision guy. Great voice. I was also impressed with the guy who came in with bermudas and sang a Boys 2 Men song. Anoop, I think his name. That guy has a soulful voice... :thumb:

Not the top 20 yet, it's the top 36 and they're out!!

 

I like quite a number of them and seems like this year the males are stronger than the females!

Yea, Anoop is not bad, unfortunately he is in the group with a few strong male contestants. The second guy (forgot his name) performed great too but he also didn't make it to the top 12.

 

Now only the first 3 in the top 12 lah...:rolleyes:

 

I'm waiting to see if the joker Nick Mitchel (?) will get into the top 12 this week!
