Hi All Harley Bros,

I am just curious, how much will a middle range of harley cost?

I am 26yo, how much will the insurance cost?

Is there any installment method for purchasing harley?

If so, minimum downpayment must roughly down how much?

Sorry for these noob question, planning to get 1 harley in near future...so i am doing some researching before i really commit. :)

Hi All Harley Bros,

New or used - Used check the Bikes for sale thread, New get down to the dealership.

There is a lot of difference between the various models so you will first need to get a feel for what you are looking for.

Depens on the value and model - Budget on 1k per year

Yes if new dealership can help if not go to finance house like Hitachi.

Usually at least 20% down

Bro. recommend you read through the threads, and get down to the dealership and discuss the differences between the various models. Sit on a few bikes and get a feel for what is comfortable for you.

My sentiments exactly, that's what caught my attention. The low riding posture and the forward stretched legs. But not sure how the Dyna Low Rider compares to the Softail. Got to do more research.....

Hi Don Juan.

I used to ride a FXSTC Softail Custom and I now ride a FXDL Dyna Low Rider.

They are both great rides and honestly, I couldn't tell a difference between the two in terms of handling and feel... cept that my Dyna has more torque and is 1450cc, whilst the Softail was 1340cc.

I rode the Softail with forward controls and drag bars, which made my posture very similar to the sit-and-reach posture... great to look at, backache after a long ride out of the country. It didn't help that my 91' Softail also had a frame-mounted engine.. which meant I felt every single vibration and bump.

I ride my Low Rider with 14" ape hangers and forward controls.. which is super comfy on both short and long rides.

They both have very low centre of gravity and so weight doen't really matter once you start moving in my opinion. Most importantly is for you to figure out your U-turn angle and how low you can tilt each bike before you have difficulty straightening it back up again.

A good rule of thumb to use is.. whilst at stationary point, you should be able to stand up and balance the bike using only your thighs.. without having to hold the handlebar. If you cant hold the bike upright using your thighs alone, then the bike is too heavy.

I hope this helps and all the best finding a ride that fits.

:)

If it has t!ts or a kickstand, I can ride it.
