Best part of bike to put coupon?

Hi everyone,

 

I was at al ameen tis morning.i park my bike at the URA carpark near the stall.Display COUPON on my speedo.its round mah, so coupon fits in v well.

 

As i was leaving i saw the carpark auntie pressing in her machine, so i said "hi auntie".

 

She reply back, i press oredi.

 

i say," for what? then the coupon tak pakai or wat?"

 

She say,"I cannot see you put down there".

 

Wah piang.......

 

She took down my coupon no. and left.

 

i take it dat she cancel dat saman.Imagine i m not there to show where my coupon is.......

 

So my Qn is "What is the guideline in putting coupon on our bikes?"

I always clip onto my fuel tank or use the ERP cover to clip it...Those places if they cannot see...??? Then they might employ blinds to do the work..

I'll place mine at the fuel tank cap... clip in between... but it's very open to the eye...

 

I went zouk the other time put coupon without my plate no. next thing I know it was missing T_T i realli wanna give the thumbs up to the person who took my coupon... 65cents oso wan take...

I also clip with my box cos i remember got 1 time i clip my coupon on the IU then some one took it and i got summon. Super angry. So now i clip on my box cannot pull out.

I once placed it on/below my front bubble/windscreen (its transparent)..Its placed right above my front sticker number plate..Yet I still get fined..Best is that the coupon is nowhere to be found when I got back..And the fine was placed just 5-10 mins after I parked my bike..Emailed United Premas/URA and asked them where should I place my coupon the next time to avoid all these..The reply was really intelligent..Place it at a conspicuous place..I replied them askin where is this conspicuous place..Any examples? They replied with the same intelligent answer..Just place it at a conspicuous place..

That's an interesting point. I think it is just an unspoken rule for cars to put it on top of the dashboard, but for bikes what is the unspoken rule? The onus is on the vehicle owner to put it in a conspicuous place, because there is no way to argue it later.

 

Cannot get summon, and later go tear coupon and say got put. Hahaha.

 

There seems to be no consensus between the riders here where best to put.

If you write your bike number on the coupon, should stop people from stealing it right? I thought so.

 

Question is - will URA/HDB auntie accept a coupon that had already been defaced (i.e. the thief cancel your bike number and write his own).

For my Spark 135, I will clip it at the rear of the I.U. unit. Open the I.U cover, put coupon on the back and close the cover. Very very tight and efficient way. For my R1, too bad, cant see the I.U. unit, so got to clip it on the fuel tank cap.

1 impt thing,PLS try to read your bike number on the coupon,so people take from your bike,they can't use it,It happened to me few times,where my coupon just dissappears and i get summon for it,den i told the person who summoned my bike ,so he said can't be helped,and told me to play safe write bike number would deter people from using our coupons.

Now i put at the gap where my front no. plate is. If she wanna saman, she must look at my no. plate mah. If cannot see oso i think they muz make COUPON BIG BIG.

 

You write bike no. Ppl can still blanko the no.dat means muz use rd tax disc n lock to I.U. ah?

i put it on the IU unit too.

i tear out the coupon and then slot it inthe IU unit and close the cover which makes it secure.

write plate nos also useless, all they need just draw a few lines over to cover your plate nos the carpark warden also cant said it belong to yours.

 

i put the coupon in a coupon holder and use a lock and lock it to my mirror metal pole.

Dats y lah.lucky i was leaving when i saw her there.if not kena $8 for nothing.can eat 10-12 more prata at al ameen.
