Hi,

I would like to ask U do U know the full tank capacity for the Skipper 125?

And there is a LED light at the "fuel meter area" what is that for?

And I have a friend who just bought a skipper 125 & found out that the fuel meter is not working, it remains at "0" even after a full petrol top up.

Any place U would recommend to repair the fuel meter?

And one last question. Since my friend just got the skipper, what R the signs to look out for when there's a need to change the belt?

Thanks a lot man.

I think can pump up to 7 litres...

reserve I think at most 1.5 lit

my Skipper's fuel meter also not working...

didn't wanna repair it first...

cos I oledi fixed a speedometer to find out my mileage...

thus I'll know when I needa pump..

further there's that orange light to show u the skipper is in reserve liao...

belt ah..

think u can feel alittle bit of delay in the pick up thats unusually slow...

should change liao...

can't really say how long change once..

cos depends on how u push ur skipper..

So the total is about 8.5litres izit? Coz I can't seem to find the specs of this old skipper on the Net.

Then U normlly ride until the orange light lit up then go pump petrol one ah?

But since the fuel meter already not working, could the orange light be faulty as well...? Dun wish to be caught in a situation where petrol runs out.

BTW, have a few silly questions to ask:

The "Genie Old Bottle" indicator in the meter represents 2T low izit?

Then if use kick start, have to pull in the left brake lever like using electric start anot?

And the left brake is for rear wheel & right brake is for front wheel izit?

Thanks a lot.

ya lor. . recently i went to 1 bikeshop, dono which part spoil, he oso use bulb to check my batt .. den not batt spoil ..

It's very simple to check your electric circuitry.

Use a multi meter on the batt terminal.

A fully charge 12v battery actually reads 13V. When it's 12.5v. It's almost half charge. 11.8v? better do something already.

To check your rectifier and coil. Switch off all the headlights. And start ur engine.

The voltage should read 13.5v. Switch on headlights, the voltage should drop to 13v. Anything lower than that, your coil got problems already.

When you head light is on and engine running, it reads 13v.

Now rev ur bike. You voltage will climb when rpm increase.

It should climb to 15.5v max. anything higher means ur rectifier is gone.

Just sharing:smile:

Sigh.

Anyone got any idea how to enable those panel light. My panel light all not working liao.....from the headlight to the reserve light.

Hi,

Have anyone used a Maintenance Free (MF) battery on their skipper.

If I'm not wrong, Skipper stock battery is those Wet battrey that requires topping up of battery water. It's quite troublesome....

BTW, am I correct to say that in the event of:

1) Battery flat

2) Electric Starter motor spoil

3) Regulator/Rectifier spoil

4) Main fuse (15A) blown

it's possible to still use the kick starter to start the engine right?
