Help - CBR400 NC23 rpm goes to 5 only

help needed

 

my cbr400 NC23 rpm can go up to 5 only, then have to change gear.

max speed now 100km only...it wont go any more

 

went to two bike shops, one shop has no idea whats wrong.. one shop says its the carburetor...

 

or is it the CDI problem?

 

i dont know what else to do

Bikin valve clearance la bro....

Tak try swop CDI dgn members?Try dulu.Carb da check?Mebbe diapragm koyak atau jet pin haus.

no power compare wif wat bike??

cos u using butt dyno to gauge its performance..

there is a few things to check..

ign coil, spark cable, spark plugs, wiring...

look for loose connection or any wire that is clamped on too hard and break the wire within the insulation..

i saw yr post at the babyblade thread.. dun think is carb problem..

do yr bike hav fuel pump?? cos all cbr do..

wat abt ign coil?? spark cable?? spark head??

if u stationery, rev the bike, will it hit more than 5k?? or still stuck?

that solution can onli be use when u hit 190km/h...

but by then yr rpm will be more than 5k..

actually there is a much simple method.. there is a black colour plug at the back of the odometer.. unplug it.. and short 2 of the 3 wires together..

already checked the fuse

my bike that time can only go at 80km/h rpm 4 onli..

cannot go up then that...

 

accelaration very abnormal.

 

it the TENSIONER that needs to be changed.

i cant remember whether its located in the valve area or somewhere near there...

 

the tensioner affects this and if u prolonged it..

it could cause the valve to bend and cork up the entire bike.

cos cbr 400 use cam gear to work rather than use timing chain..

ok guys i did the De-Restricting for the cdi and it worked!

now can go more than 5k on the rpm, speed is much much much better!

yes can go more than 100km now

(macam normal balik)

 

this is maybe because i changed the meter clock (from ebay) cause the old one didnt work and somehow it got crazy...

 

it has been months for me to figure this out...

even the mechanics here gave up..

 

ahhh at last finally...i got freedom of speed...

 

but the carburettor is leaking petrol now...

for temporary the mechanic put a sement glue on it, but still leaking a bit..

 

might as well find a replacement...

(already found one and going to singapore in two weeks)
