-Yes (Will be renewing)

-No more burden to pay mthly for that duration of loan -_- if its a new bike, since its a 2b bike its more feasible to ride on our roads/parking on tight spaces : in all it also depends if that bike u INTEND to renew if its a reliable work horse which can endure life for 10plus years , spare parts easily'readily available when required , maintenance its ur own pocket mony ($) status , 6mths Once or Annual Servicing will suffice  :) #JusSharingMyViews (:

Most likely renew 5 years for my bike. Sell not much value and for 3-4k not much choice since my current bike is still a workhorse with no problem.

Renew 5 years then you end up have to scrap leh, why not renew 10 years and then sell it off when you're sick of it?

Most likely ride for another 5 years. I don't think it can last that long also.

I will also advise 10 years to other people, however looking at the current crop of 600cc super sport, there no much development for the last decade. Which means I am happy with what I have now, I guess is hard to find spares for a 15 years old bike. I guess have to settle for this option.

with the COE/PQP sky high.

will you guys be renewing your 2B bikes?

i think most likely, people will scrap it right? since it doesnt make any financial sense...

but if you decide to renew, what are your reasons to do so?

most ppl will scrap like u said unless the bike condition is really good

personally I think long term wise, better to sell when still have at least 2 years of COE left then buy a new bike. Just treat the monthly loan as part of ur monthly cost of owning a bike along with the petrol, maintenance, road tax, insurance etc. My fren renewed 5 years few years back now regretted cos his bike will be totally worthless in 2 years time.

If die die wanna renew, better renew for 10 years... If really bike meet its death after 5 years, u will still get back the unused COE.

Yes, my bike is a rare bike, probably among the last pack to survive here. 17 years old liao, but thinking of renewing if engine still strong and healthy.

I'd like to know what rare bike it is :D :D :D

Just renewed my COE for my DRZ in Feb. Bike is in shitty condition, but the PQP was 6000 and rising fast, so i jumped and renewed anyway. Rather pay 6000 to continue having a bike to use for the next 10 years than to scrap it for nothing and possibly pay more for a bike with less time on the COE.

This is the sad reality... we get nothing to scrap our bikes. As long as the bike can still move without major repairs required / expected soon, it makes financial sense to renew.

Liverpool revival has started....
