yes ... weight plays a major part ... i used to own a 1996 ZX9R ... frankly its a good bike ... good tourer infact ... not a good track bike though ... based on stock power its the same as my current ZX636R ... but weighs 45kgs more ...

 

10 year old bike spares are very rare ... and you will not be able to get those aftermarket accessories anymore as after 10 years they will cease production ... you will only be left with 2nd hands or unsold accessories ...

unless you want to make your bike vintage ... how often do you see an ol skool sportsbike on the road??? even if they are ... you will find that they look ugly ... but certain sportbikes are timeless ... eg. 1998 Yamaha R1, Honda CBR1100XX, Kawasaki ZZR-1100, Honda PGM IV NSR, 1995 Aprilia Extrema 125, 1996 Aprilia Replica 125, 1996 Aprilia Replica 250 etc. etc.

Hi guys, just managed to get mine 636 yest-any one has any idea where i can get just the damper bracket? Wish to use mine existing Ohlins on it.

 

Apparently Sporting Motor is the agent for Ohlins, however you could try to get them through your garage.

Guys, please note that your bike must be able to touch 300 before you can join Cyber! Even thou can reach 300, your balls might not be up to it!:angel:

hi gordy, just tue went to evershine and saw this dunno 05 or 06 636 and they quote mi 18.5k machine price (dunno if there is any hidden cost) and they will be willing to take in my 04 636 at 12k (which i dunno how true is it) but the bike is first hand so for those who are considering to change to a 05 or 06 model can go down to evershine:cheeky:
