Engine Oil Grades

The viscosity rating of a multi-grade oil is broken down into two parts;

The number before the W is the "winter" or "cold start" rating. The lower the number the thinner the oil. This allows quick flow when the engine is started cold (cold crank). 90% of engine ware happens at this time due to the engine running in a dry state.

The second number is the viscosity rating of the oil at 100 C. The higher the number the thicker the oil giving protection of "metal on metal" ware when the engine is hot.

anyways, i use 10w50. for some reason that grade seems to work very smoothly

Be wary of the source of information for your bike's maintenance. Some FAQs are compiled by people who lack the technical know how. :angel:

No vjf250 owners here. For that matter I think there were only a few units sold so far.

Here's an overseas review: http://www.themotorcyclereview.com/component/content/article/204-daelim/434-daelim-roadwin-f14

Thanks man...I ever saw a black orange 250 at mustafa...very nice.

Any reviews on the Daelim VJ125 Roadwin? Hows its fuel consumption like?

Wearing of a full face and jacket is a safety statement., its not a fashion statement.

An eye for an eye makes the world go blind,

it is then two wrongs to not result in a right.
