i believe the ixil carbono(carbon) long one like in youtube is no longer in-stock.

please note: short and long exhaust do have different effect however being on a low cc bike u may feel less effect but its still there

short exhaust = better boost at lower rpm

long exhaust = better boost at higher rpm

please correct me if im wrong

i see.. ok thanks for the info.. but some how the short exhaust dont sound nice..

i'm looking for exhaust that goes very low and deep sound.. instead of the high and loud pitch..

Don't have any for RWr. My pipe is stock. The induction roar from the KnN filter is louder than the exhaust note. My view is that it is a 125/2A bike; so why waste money fitting aftermarket parts? Just ride and enjoy it for what it is...

BTW, the Ixil is a slip-on end can. Other than weight savings, you hardly get any performance improvement.

alright... qns time.. is it oki to hit the red zone on RPM???

tat time went i came back from JB, i try to test on top speed.. i red-ed zone on 4th gear.. i didnt know it until i try to up one more gear to confirm.. damn.. will it hurt the engine???:(:(:(

secondly, my top is only like 122km/h.. i already full throttle and the RPM only stays slightly below red zone. it will not go up anymore.:cry:

lastly.. i tried on my bike..12.5 liters of fuel, i ran for 390-400km.. tat was so shocking.. haha.. tat is like 32km/liters.

wa.. not bad leh the consumption.. i still cant test now.. cos i cant maintain the throttle, need go up and down lols..

You probably didn't run it in the red zone for too long, so it's ok. Don't worry about it.

If I remember correctly your bike is 2nd hand, right? 122km/h top sounds about right. Chances are that the previous owner didn't really "push" the bike, so the engine might still be a bit tight. Getting higher top speeds take some "training" so to speak. The other consideration is that getting from 122km/h to higher top speeds will need a longer stretch of road. With experience, you'll learn to control the throttle to squeeze more speed out of the bike without red-lining the rpm. You'll also learn to use momentum to your advantage to achieve higher top speeds.

That's good fuel consumption, bro. However don't get too excited yet. For a good gauge of consumption, start recording your mileage and fuel pumped. The average of 5 full tanks or more will give you a better picture. This is because no one can say they pump "exactly" full tank every time they refill. So, get an average reading.

Other thing to remember if you ride into Malaysia over longer distance is this - your fuel consumption will increase (less distance covered from same full tank) compared to what it is now. So, don't expect to be able to ride all the way to KL on one full tank just because you can cover 390km in Sillypore. :)

Im curious about what you said about the distance travelled in m'sia will be shorter with full tank. how come?

tks a million ramsnake.. ur comments r so impt to me.. i will try harder to push the best out of tis bike.. haha.. actually i always pump full tank.. n only head to petrol station whenever the fuel meter blinks... i already on my 3rd re-fuel. those 3 times is bout 12 liters!

bro, riding on north south highway with constant speed will give better fuel consumption than city riding in singapore due to lesser open/closing of throttle

LOL... not if you ride the way I do :p

I've been doing SIN-KL quite often the past few months and my average has been about 280-290km when I hit "reserve". On these trips, I maintain a minimum of 120km/h and would go up to about 138km/h tops. At these speeds, the RPM is about 9800-10999.

Why consume more fuel? 2 reasons:

1) It's all about the engine RPM. The higher the RPM, fuel combustion efficiency goes down. That is to say at high revs, fuel injected into the engine doesn't get completely ignited, resulting in "wastage". This is true of most engines, bike or car.

On the other hand, if you have a bigger capacity bike that can do the same constant speed of 130km/h but at lower RPM, say 4000-5000rpm, then fuel consumption would be lower than city-start-stop-start riding.

2) At these higher speeds, aerodynamic resistance come into play. Some of the power generated by the bike is used to cut through the air rather than being directly translated to higher speeds. Thus consuming more fuel.

Oh, did I say only 2 reasons? How about a few more? SIN to KL is about 320km. Along the way, you would encounter some strong head wind. There goes the fuel.

How about mountain passes? To me, it's all flat road in Sillypore. The one they call Mount is barely a hill. Already some people are saying they have difficulty climbing Benjamin Sheares bridge.... LOL

yikes.. Maybe the driving school in sillypore should suggest a 'Dip. In motor-riding' or something XD

1) not everyone rides the way you do

2) rwr is already a high rev bike to start with

3) aerodynamics do not much a significant difference for the range of speed that the rwr can attain

4) SIN-KL is 380km not 320km. 400km by the time you reach city centre

5) since when is nsh not a "flat road" albeit for some minor upslopes

i used to travel along lornie road > PIE > BKE > KJE and my fuel comsumption is better then what im currently getting travelling along CTE. Even a 5-10mins on CTE ride burns more petrol as i open and close throttle more often, and also due to repeated hard brakings along the journey.

it boils down on how are your pull your throttle when you wanna speed up.
