yo bro Joe! long time no c, how have u been?

 

thread starter, i am 1 of the 2 that joe mention am riding the KLE 500. i consider it a great bike for the the price $ that i pay for, the cheapest class 2 bike in SG.

don't listen to joe abt the height must be >170cm to ride comfortablely 'cos i am only 163cm TALL & i am very comfortable on this bike

Absolutely no regrets me getting this bike..engine a bit rough though but that what kawasaki all about, tried riding it to malacca and back during run in period, very comfortable riding position only problems is puncture tyre as i m using tube type. Luckily for me i brought along spare tubes..and manage to find a workshop nearby to get it fix..hehehe..other than that its a comfortable bike for my size which is rather small..

goosh..you got a puncture after less than a mth...

did you over inflate the tyres..suppose to be 225/150 rear/front

As the engine still under Run-in, i just rode at uneven speed, varies my speed from time to time not exceeding 100Km/ph as advise by the manual. I just stick to the RPM meter instead @ around 4000..IT was a long ride but worth every minute of it as i got the chance to take it slowly and also enjoying the greneries there..hehehe..

Its the benefit of running in ....i even manage to change the engine oil at the nearby workshop, cheap Pennzoil mineral oil..

Hi bro, i inflate the tyres as recommended, Just a stupid nail manage to creep to my wheels..its just went totaaly flat in less than 10sec...my advise bring at least two sets of tubes for long journey ....just in case..

SW9000 !! Wah fancy meeting you on this site !! One of my kids thinking of getting one of these KLE 500s. What you think of it overall ? He is very tall so ride height no problem.

Bike looks nice but 500cc may not satisfy throttle happy riders.

23-25km/L is reasonable FC.

Not many on the roads.

Otherwise, can consider the versys650 or v-strom650 too.
