i dont think there's a spring. should get it checked the next time i go down to ahchong. stanley bulb.. does planet has it? i just changed the socket and a new bulb. so i'll see how this last.

will probably have to go at a time when planet is less busy, so ah chong can do a nice check for me.

planet should have stanley bulbs... if not ah boy surely would have...

lol... is there really a time when planet is less busy...? hmmm... I can only think of rainy days... even though so they might be packed... :cheeky:

dun worry too much about it... maybe that is why your fuel air mixture is a little rich... hmmm... so did you ask him to tune your carb for you...?

Happy that you know whats the problem, sad that you have to pay, be glad you are paying a wee bit more instead of taking lousy public transport :thumb:

hi guys, just now i was riding home from serangoon north to wdl in super duper heavy rain... i was just slowly riding behind a car and when i was near mandai, all of a sudden my bike vibrate!

i was shocked! i just pump full tank in morning, quickly switched to reserve n guess what!? no difference, still dying! i slowly rolled to e left n practically stopped on e last lane, had to leg peddle to the shoulder... i was lost, didnt know what was wrong...

tried to start bike, but got starting sound but bike didnt start. i just stood there, blurred, didnt know what to do in the rain. just waited for a min then i started it again... now it worked! i switched off, n tried again, can again!

so wear helmet, start bike n rode home safely...

so anyone knows what could have happened??? thanks so much! :)

I suspect that it is the spark plug cap...

how to confirm:

1. heat up your engine (not warm up... a.k.a. go for a 15 minutes ride)

2. let your engine idle

3. pour a bucket of water onto the spark plug

if it dies then its the spark plug cap!!

Hey peeps,

my front brake lever feel kinda like stuck at some point, doesn't feel smooth when compared to my clutch lever, when i sqeeze the lever to brake.

Went to mech and changed my pump kit already and the problem went away...

And then..........it came back.......any idea why this is happening? :(

change pump kit...? ouch that is too extreme... shouldn't be required...

front brake doesn't have a lot of components... check if the brake fluid reservoir still have break fluid, brake hose not leaking, brake disc in good condition (warped or deep grooves are bad), brake pad not being worn out...

anyway did your bike went sideways recently... if yes, you might need to bleed the brake hose as some air might have went into the brake hose... resulting in spongy braking...

if not... try let ah chong ride your bike...

the last time i encountered this prob, i put singer oil @ the lever where it pushes the "button" inwards (not the pivot) it's a rubber kinda thingy...

that was temporary... (had to oil it every 2 weeks)

one fine day i changed my brake pads @ ah chong, and the problem never came back...

so i'm nt sure what actually went wrong,,

Do what's right, not what you think is right. =)
