so now, if bring 19sticks of msia back to sg mus declare?

yes u must declared regardless of how many stick. all cigs are liable to collection of duty/gst on arrival at red channel of singapore customs office .BUT if the person choose to go by the green channel consider u have nothing to declare and if ICA or aetos officers found u with any amount of stick of cigs, meaning u have failed to declared it.The person will be referred to singapore customs for further actions.

punishment for failing to declare is liable to a fine up to $5000.

so be warned do whatever at ur own risk.

otherwise jus dun smoke.

I just asked a cs in blue... He say 19 sticks no tax payment required.. Anything more depend on the officer there, some very strict, will ask you pay.. He also say, if they see the ppl dunno law, they will make thing difficult for you and make you pay more...

My friends who is a cs was held by the custom officer for bringing in back singapore cigarette.. Lame right, then she bluntly say, "you want to keep my cigarette, keep uh.. I am in a rush" and the officer paise pretend forget that he holding on to her cigarette...

One unopened pack is like $5 or more, can't remember.. Then must bring the receipt for as long as the pack last...

1 Packet without opening = $200 first fine.

1 Parket with opening ( 19 stick ) = $0 ( but must declare )

1st timer = $200

2nd timer = $400

3rd timer = $800

More then 5 pack = Hand over to police.

Tax only apply if u have :

1 Parket with opening ( 19 stick ) = $0 ( but must declare )+ Another packet with 3-4 stick left.

Then u need to pay the tax for the Another packet but u can choose to throw away, then = $0

where did u get tis info from?

How to help each other? I tried quitting dunno how many times uh... The longest I've quitted is about a month plus.. and all it takes to return is a puff.. one innocent puff... then become one stick... then more.. then start buying again...

It is so so much more difficult than i have had imagined uh... Never knew a day out trying smoking during those naive adventurous years can become a nightmare now....

You're wrong, bro.

There is no differentiation between opened & unopened packs. Every pack is taxable. ICA/AETOS is just being pragmatic about the situation that they do not wish to tax everyone who has an open pack. However, don't push your luck.

Tax per pack is $7.65.

Fine (concealed) per pack is $500.
