Hi guys i know that there is some bro here has make a spec3 tail fairing on the s4 bike. And i need some advice on my problem here. As today i went to ubi one of the shop ask abt the spec3 tail fairing and they told mi they can make but the problem is the back of the key hole (that open the seat out) cannot place it at the back anymore and they need to shift it to other side on the bike. Or maybe they will replace a other key lock. As for my ideal is i hope that the key hole can remain at the back.... Pls advice mi i nw veri confuse....:giddy: Thank you....

I am one of the spec3 tail motivator, i done mine at Motoworld, maybe the bike shop u ask oso the same? ... my key lock din change and oso no need to change it. Only the key hole have to shift position to below the seat there, i feel no big deal abt that, some more i feel more nicer without key hole at the origin plc. :cheeky: :cheeky:

 

Actually alot of s4 rider who moulded to spec3 tail, majority din put the mud guard, coz the tail can look more sharp n nicer. U can referred the latest bike gallery at this forum. I noe abt that, coz my break light and signal light is 2 in 1 type...:cheeky: Actually alot of bike shop have done this kind of motivation, such as Auntie shop, Bike Access, etc etc. U can compare the price 1st b4 u do it. Some of the ppl bought their own tail board, tail light and ask for bikeshop to fix, mean they charges for labour cost only. :thumb: Try to survey 1st if u one perfect or wanted your own idea, for me i ant one... hehe.

Just asking.. Was thinking of doing it. It within my budget however I have some questions.

 

What is maximum weight it can hold? My pillion and me will weight around 150kg.

 

Will it crack after some time?

dun tink will crack lah.. moulded spec 3 tail is only to fix in the side cover and the tail light, ur tail bone is still remain unchanged de mah... if u r scared, then survey few bike shop and seek for their advice lor... actually i din ask for this qn b4, coz i only tink to be nice only... lolzz

actually is my neighour sell mi.... haha...:cheeky: but if u wan to buy original tail light.u can go chong aik it cost $300 plus or u wan de tail light with white plastic cover and it light up in red that it at motorworld it cost $150, btw the white cover plastic cover i don have the pic..... or else can show u.....

:confused: :confused: :confused: why impossible leh? where u din your spec3 tail? go back the shop n ask them settle for u lor.... all using cable tie? i dunno mine leh... when i collect my bike ored fix in n no mudguard type leh....:thumb:

cable tie??? hmm last time mine was done with some screws and mounting points.. but the tail is quite light so its safe.

will not use cable tie.... coze when i ask the first motor they told mi that they will make a hole on that tail that fit on the bike frame thread hole.....

how long muz we put the bike at the bike shop for them to complete the whole process if we were to change the tail?
