As mentioned in the title, would that be possible? Since the purpose of the RR is just to rectify the voltage from AC to DC, and regulate the voltage to 15volts?

Any side effects, and damage? haha the RR for my bike is a little too exp, so I would like to source for alternatives.

You can use one from a truck if the voltage is the same.

Just get the wiring right.

That could be pushing it too far as most diesel trucks are 24vdc

alright so if my bike requires 12volts, i can just get another RR from another bike thats 12volts?

Or do I have to take note of any ampere ratings?

yups so long the wiring is rite and the voltage is correct should not blow anything up.

I tried to connect a S4 rectifier to my Shadow Aero 750. The rectifier of the S4 got hot so I knew it wasn't successful. I had to use back the stock rectifier and order a spare one just in case

all electrical components/parts have basic infor..

like Voltage, Capacity..this will tell you how "big" a load u can use the part..

for rectifier same make sure voltage use sama sama. and the capacity same or bigger than sure no problem..

like use S4 on wave..sure ok...

use wave on S4..sure kaput..

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

Hi Guys, I have two used Vulcan 1500A rectifier /regulator to let go at RM250-00 each excluding shipping. My vulcan had problem starting up even after a long ride and initially I thought was a faulty battery. After doing some reading on the forum, I realised that the fault lies in the rectifier/regulator as the battery was not being charged even when I was riding ...that drains the battery and caused the difficulty in starting up after even stopping for fuel.

The rectifier/regulator may fit other Vulcan models like VN750 as well but you need to check first.

PM me if you are interested.

Ride safe.............
