Bro kingpet, these ppl choose to omit the fact that Arsenal were merely inconsistent last season, dropping points against teams in the lower half of the table. Fact remains that if you compile a top-4 table ONLY, Arsenal would be 1st, thus proving that they have genuine championship credentials.

Alas, last season inconsistency and severe injury problems plagued us. Nevermind, this year we will be back stronger than ever!

I 2nd dat....:)

hi lolx.. new to this forum...

we've done well to kick start with a win...

Current formation of playing Eboue on the right isnt as effective as before... cos he only noe how to run but cant dribble or wat only got speed...

hopefully when Gilberto is back from resting Hleb will be back to right again

Crap lah... I was cursing the night away when that useless Lehmann fluffed the bloody first kick of the season and gave Fulham a free goal... KNNBCCB LEHMANN

Knight and Warner in superb form some more... luckily last 5 minutes manage to score 2 goals. If I were Wenger I would drop that idiot from the first team already... He's too old, problematic and erratic to play consistently!

to be honest, i had been condemning lehmann from last season.. i dun see him as an asset to d team.

in fact, he's the cause that brings the team morale down when he fumbled and does ridiculous blunders

i strongly feel that its time for wenger to sign a new keeper and striker n verliy looking forward to see my team score their way to premiership glory this season..

UPZ for the gunners!!

We already have a good keeper, Lukasz Fabianski, who is yet to be tested in the EPL and top level matches.

As for strikers, we also have enough in Adebayor, Walcott, van Persie and Eduardo.

Let us watch the season progress and see how things develop within the team.

What is Wenger thinking? Giving Gallas instead of Gilberto the captaincy?

How do you expect players to stay long in this club when the armband is given to one that joins the club less than a year instead of the old bird... No wonder all the experienced players like Ljunberg all gone... Lehmann next haha.

havent u chck the arsenal homepage? gallas was given the captain armband as covering for gilberto who is still unable to play due to fatigue... gallas is 2nd in command n for sure he will be given the armband if the commander is out resting....

Gunners lady team dominate the ladies league is all i can say last season they won all the trohpies up for graps all 4 cups..mayb too little challenge or wat...but stil they did us proud xD

one thing about Gallas being captain is that wenger wanted Central Back to have a leading role(Tony Adams anyone?) hmm and it's the position whereby the player will have a full view of wat is goin on..on the pitch and that's y him instead of Toure and y not Gilberto..cos he suay lo go for national call up ==. den all too late liao...

and yes one last thing..i think Hleb running a Central Role with Fabregas is a good start haha 2goals in 2 games..hope it proves to be right..

KNNBCCB Lehmann again!

What an idiot... Wenger should really drop him now... 2 mistakes in 2 games, 2 goals gifted... 2 points dropped!!!

*&%$^(*

i think he's showing signs or giving hint that "Hey Fabianski u shld have a try at my shirt" man that goal was the noobiest of all...and well even for a team to score time is needed..bloop at a such a late time...it kills...3pts to 1 pt...if this keeps up don nid think title challenge liao...all hopes are gone when the team i sstrong but having a weak German No.1 Keeper.......

lehmanns got to go man..his time's over...

i think arsenal always have trouble letting go bad goalies..just look at how long seaman can last eventhough he was never that good in the first place...

but truefully la..seaman is good...on Land..Air Raid he cannot make it lolx... he land isnt as bad as lehman.. at least he handles a backpast as a england No.1 lolx.. if u get wat i mean..though Lehmann did carry us to CL Finals with the penalty but man those training basics are not suppose to be shown on the big picture and considering his age and exp. lolx.. it's seriously funny...and even Wenger is trying to say hey our team is solid but though we draw i'm good with the result as it's in Edwood Park .....Alumnia and Fabianski's time is coming soon...

finally..our prayers are answered....hopefully the reserve goalie doesn't **c* up

LONDON, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Jens Lehmann has injured his Achilles tendon and will miss Saturday's home clash with Premier League leaders Manchester City, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said on Thursday.

The goalkeeper aggravated a chronic injury during Germany's 2-1 win over England at Wembley on Wednesday, Wenger told a news conference.

Wenger said: 'Jens is out and he will miss two weeks, I think. Maybe more. I don't know. He is going to see a specialist in Germany tomorrow. He had this injury before but it has got much worse.'

Wenger said Lehmann joined an injury list that included captain Frenchman William Gallas, with a groin injury, and Brazilian midfielder Emmanuel Eboue, who has an ankle injury.

Wenger said Spaniard Manuel Almunia would replace Lehmann on Saturday for a fixture in which he hopes Arsenal will end City's unbeaten start to the season.

Looking ahead to City's visit to the Emirates Stadium, their first with former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson in charge, Wenger said it was too early to say if City would be able to maintain a challenge at the top.

'It can last but we will know more after 15 games, then we will have a better idea,' he said. 'I think we have to be patient a little bit.'

He agreed that he was surprised at their confident start to the season and three straight wins.

'When you sign a lot of players, more than three or many more, then it usually takes time for them to click. But they have super-clicked and done so super-quickly as well.'
