Din noe the BMW sells grips. Or the BMW stands for smth else? Heard it is good and comfortable grip.

 

How much is the BMW grip and where can I buy it? hehe

For mine, I had to season the grips before they become really comfy. Original from PML. There's only one type, and it fits my S4 perfectly.

it contours to a hand's grip....compare it to a flat stock visually and u will realise. I changed my STX grips to BMW and nv have painful hands during touring...so much happy that I migrate that to my current ride.

I have change my stock grip on my STX to the BMW Taper grip and it does feel more comfy. Yet to try it for touring but I pretty sure it is better.

 

Point to note it is slightly thicker and you will get use to it after one or two ride and somehow it prevents you having "death grip" on the handle bar that uses thin grips

This is the one, very comfortable and not slippery when wet

 

but the ribs on the grip will wear off pretty fast like your sport tyre because of the soft rubber compound.

No problem. Anyway, the more worn it grips are, the more comfy them become.

Has anyone fix the grips on a FJR 08 Model?

 

Will it melt the Grips as the 08 model comes with grip warmer though i never on the warmer except on rainy days or on the NSH at night.

Not a beemer expert, but I know that BMW bikes such as the K1200LT has heated hand grips. So maybe melting grips shouldn't be an issue. Not too sure though.

upon getting the BMW grips i do understand that i oso need to change the balancers to a slightly longer ones rite coz the grips end are bigger?

My Review -

BMW grips are good,comfortable and soft. Had it on my divvy and personnaly,throttle control is better than the stock ones. It really grips and no regrets replacing one. Suitable for touring and casual rides.

 

Worth paying.

Guys, I wear my gloves everytime I ride, the BMW grip should be better right?

Does PML installs the grip for us or have to go to bikeshop and get it installed?
