in the latest news section, someone mention info from Asia news network,

Moreover, starting from next year, the government will no longer allow foreigners to enjoy subsidised fuel prices. By then, low fuel prices will not be an attraction for Singaporeans anymore.

is this true that from next yr, singaporeans cant enjoy the subsidised fuel prices in msia?

this news was out last time...but then haven seen to implement.....even now...those fz owners living in the west and north will only be worthwhile if were to go in for petrol..

.for me i am livign in the north, if i were to go 2nd link for petrol..mian qiang still can accept cos our petrol tank quite mall....i tak 40km to reach home from 2nd link shell....with the time spend and toll fee....i am still on the fence whereby i support msia or sg petrol :faint:

actually i have not tried refilling my tank in m'sia before. was wondering, the time, fuel consumed and distance travelled to m'sia nearest petrol kiosk and back to where each and individual of us staying, is it of beneficial as in the $$$ amount saved compared to refilling in singapore and at a kiosk perhaps 5km to and fro from ur residential? maybe we compare a full tank in sg, i pump abt $25 for my FZ6 in sg abt 16litres. how much does it cost to pump in m'sia for 16 litres??

Depending on where you stay,

16litres x RM2.05 for Shell 97 = RM32.8

2 x Msia toll fee = RM1.60 x 2 = RM3.20

2 x sg toll fee = $0.70 x 2 = $1.40

Total = $16.40 (base on 2.4 exchange rate)

and is exlcuding the petrol and time from your house to 2nd link and back.

hi,

I think the windscreen also plays a huge part?

I am using the stock screen, and anything about 130-150 causes some wind buffetting.

Anything more than that, got to keep the posture lower, else the buffetting gets much worse.

Tried 200km/hr with pillion, the bike can definitely go more. But the wind blast as well the possibility of a huge fine put a lid to the speed.

I am using a Shoei, all well and good, but need replaceing some time soon also.

You guys might want to consider the HJC FS-Max also? Handy for speckys and comes with an integrated visor. Price around $250 or so.

But the bad points to me is the weight (which i suppose flip-ups are generally heavier than the usual FF) and also, the size. Seems the shell is king big, although the inner measure is correct.

:)

Well, this is not the first time that they want to implement this.

Seems that the last time they tried was last year, but was shelved after negative response from the kiosks.

I mean, its a no brainer for the kiosk owners. They are making $$$ from singaporeans. Makes perfect business sense.

But the reality is that the petrol is subsidised by the MY govt, and Sg drivers/ bikers benefit from that.

But then again, if the petrol is not that cheap, perhaps less people will ride/ drive to MY and spend Sg $$$ there. Perhaps?

I agree.. Most of us who go there for short trips, like for few hours are there for petrol. Since we are already there for petrol, usually we do a little eating/slacking at their eateries.

If raise petrol cost, kiosks and other incidental benefiting parties will see drop in $$.

Aiya, they cannot make uop their mine la ..so ai mai ai mai decisions. White card then no white card, then white card again, etc.

if u stay closer 2 1st link and go in via 1st link.. price will be slightly cheaper due to toll charges.

Most pple prefer full face though, cos flip up will give most the impression of breakage of the catch and mechanism upon hard impact. hrm......

Full face is good. But if you are caught in the Malaysia or Thailand city jam. Flip up will let you take a few breathers to sooth the heat.

oh yeah...forgot about 1st link ahha

cos although i stay north i prefer 2nd link lolx

i used 2 prefer 2nd link cos i felt somewhat safer. But i might go in 1st link more often since there a few regular fazer Six'ers who always go first link.. will go in together with them where possible.

wanna join us, let me know :cheeky:
