I have juz tried bagster saddles on my fz1.....cannot make it man.....its too filmsy and if plus weight of the luggage, its gonna droop down by the side, n more or less cover the tailing, as the saddle bag follow the contour of the tail board...alamak... >.

because of our "sporty tail" ,soft saddle bags tends to have the same problem...unless u got a way to have a stick to place beneath the two bags to surpport them frpm saggy down due to heavy loads...i have done the same thing when i am travelling to phuket,it helps...:cheeky:

hi guys i gt prolem with my fz1.

i release clutch to biting pt then throttle, then close throttle and depress clutch together. then my bike stalled..the rpm is abt 2.3

On the left side handle bar, there's a screw to adjust the clutch cable....try to adjust it clock wise or anti clock wise, then try again...

Ya lah, the saddle bags adjust to the contours of the bike.

You using which model of the saddle bag? Cos I think one of the fz1 rider is using Bagster, seems ok.

ah_vic81*

I am using the low end Oxford one. Still ok, but the rain cover seems hopeless. haha...

ya.....rain cover intact during high travelling speed is a real hassle,Due to the strong wind,it's easily torn...:sian:

Hi guys, I got 2 questions to ask.

Please kindly advise:

1) At speed of around 130km and above, the handle bar developed a buzzy vibration. At first ok, but after riding 30 mins of more, the throttle hand got the numb/pins and needles feeling. You guys got the same prob? Any ways around it? Heavier bar ends? I wonder is it normal, or is it becos I am more prone to it bcos of an old wrist injury.

2) There is a buzzing sound coming from the clocks. I suppose it is loose somewhat, cos the sounds goes after i held it down. But after a while, it comes back. How do I fix it? thanks.

have a pleasant day/ride.

- First,Change to BMW handgrip,a lot of fazer riders use that,it helps..

- Mine too.....right from the start until now...i suppose it comes from plastic cover on top of the meter....

Rode the Gen 1 and now the Gen 2.

Basically, very happy with the bike.

For sg riding, no problems at all.

The only issue for touring is the relatively small tank and range. The 18 litre fuel tank is 14.6 main and 3.4 reserve, which means about 210-230km before reserve and 50km of reserve.

Well, I guess along the North south highway, there are always R&R stops with petrol kiosks, this is not a problem. And since you tour in a group, everyone's fuel capacity is different and fuel stops are also a place to pump and take a break.

I suggest getting the ABS version, since any kind of rider safety aid is a plus point to me, esp in the rain. :)

Thanks for the advice bro. What is the price like and where do i buy it?

Cos I am thinking of getting the Pro Grip gel handgrip when the stock one needs replacing, or if the buzzing irritates me too much.

I saw the rain covering flickering in the wind at 130km or so, was thinking whether it will fly away....or worse, get caught in the wheel...:(

its the bagster " arrow" type one.

Mine is the low end Oxford 1st time saddle bag. So far, so good, given the price.($100 only...) There are quite a few tie down points and the bags are a good 30-40cm away from the exhaust.

Our bike's tail is kind of a arrow shape, but the Oxford saddle bag dun have the problem of covering the tailight as it is shorter than the bagster one.

racingter had used the silicons pray to maintain his dry carbon LV exhaust :thumb: i have seen hsi exhaust personally, it gives the exhaust a shine look. and not the dull carbon look after some time of usage :thumb:

14 to 15 km/L is actually a bit thirsty for a 1000cc. This is city riding, mind you. Opening the tap on the highway, you'll see it drop further. 12km/L is possible.

Somehow, in the pursuit of emissions compliance, the latest batch of bikes run hotter and are generally less fuel efficient.
