Who is using side rack plus HnB panniers.. Do you think it is wise to change to aftermarket license plate holder or just stick to oem.. I am afraid that the aftermarket will make the signal light not visible to car beside me... any suggestion..

I prefer to keep the OEM so that the pillion & the top box is cleaner after soaking in the rain. But the GIVI panniers comes with a extensio bracket for the rear signal lights.

 

Removing the OEM license plate holder with the side panniers installed will not make the bike even more sporty but more "practical" unless without the side panniers.

 

I feel the H&B too boxey & does not gives a nice contour butt feel from the rear.

just to add on, there's a bikeshop with brand new fz6 along the row of bike shops on the same stretch with planet motor (near tp hq). somewhere in the middle at the stretch.

insurance for 22+ years old should be in the below 25 age bracket, therefore about 800+- after 15% ncd. before about 1000+-. tpft.

 

wasted sg dun bundle the fairing together. other countries have that option.

if dun mind the detuned fz6 engine, looks, side exhaust, fz6r is also good..

 

yeah top speed is about your guts.. but on youtube i saw its about 240+km/h. i nv reached that speed. i am a slow rider. straight slow, corner slow, dry slow, wet/sandy lagi slow.

currently otr now also have the xj6 (i believe, but haven seen 1 otr yet).. just that there's more fz6.. xj6 is newer than fz6.. then comes the fz8 which is the real replacement for fz6, not otr yet.. xj6 full fairing version i think about 16k+ onwards machine price..

fz6 is hard to find cos production stopped.. brand new got to hunt for it.. fz6s2 2nd hand is relatively hard to find cos the oldest is only 2007 models.. about 3 years old only.. i think recently forum got pple selling, you can try your luck there.. 04-06 models i think can find..

I still saw about 1-2 fz6 at aspoon bedok... maybe you can go there try..

Normally I use WD40 and an old t-shirt to wipe the chain every month. works for me. WD40 getting ex. where to get it cheaper???

 

bro, try not to use WD40 cus it will "eat" away ur chain parts...

GT85 is ok to use... kerosene also can use but be sure to wax it back immediately...

last thing, nvr try to use cheap stuffs on ur chain, either u clean it or leave it dirty...

cus ur chain is ur life... really...

yes, oem will be cleaner but aftermarket ones will looks nicer...

of cus, aftermarket ones is not legal but if u have side panniers, the chances of being caught is lesser cus ur big arse already block it away liao...

 

anyway, car beside you wun be looking at ur signal lights de...

they will either look at u or totally ignore u...

Whenever there's a heavy rain... The moment I depress my clutch (at 1st gear or whenever I change gear), the neutral light turns on.

 

Have any of you experience this? I'm riding a FZ6 S1 by the way. Thanks!

Yup, I bought the FX plate that was on display in Planet.

 

Ah Chong did mention to me about this Fazer, but the price was over the roof. I didn't even consider it.

 

Then someone posted on SBF on the Fazer 6, then I realised that it's the same at Planet. But the pricing is worlds apart! muah hahahaha! Of course I buy lah!

 

PS: The reason for my question is that another FZ6 which is Pplater's one also have the same problem as well. At the same time as well!

Actually, thinking about it... It only happened to us after we washed our bikes at Gelang Patah and riding in the rain... then the NEUTRAL light on...

 

Ah Chong said it's quite normal actually. But i just wanted to know if other FZ6 S1s have seen this problem before. It didn't affect riding. It just seem weird that's all...
