Problem no longer persists now, ride is smooth after "clearing" carbon by dragging it a little bit more.

i went up to 5-6rpm on gear 1 and 2 then maintain 6-7 rpm on 3. easily said, i just went harder on the throttle. :s

Hi all.. Any advise when to do FI servicing? Riding a 600 s2 version.. Currently sometimes I felt a knocking feeling when I ride.. Suspected becos I downgraded from using 98 to 95.. Mileage near to 100km oredi.. If FI servicing inclusive of tank filtering right? Which workshop and price ranges? Thanks in advance..

Hi fazerians, any security precaution when going jb with our ride?? Disk lock , chain etc...can park at petrol station when going for a walk...been many cases of stolen bikes, scare leh..

Personally i wouldn't go. In e past when riding 2A still used to go, but ever since e case where a rider with his gf was attacked at e big popular petrol station in front of many witness, i ve decided tat i will not ride into JB. Riding through i hope still acceptable.

 

E case i referring to was back in 2007/08 and i believe it was e big esso just before e Malaysia checkpoint coming back to singapore. Tat station in e time when i went in often is frequently busy with cars and bikes becoz it is e last pump before leaving. But this rider still kanna. Worst thing is becoz e rider was unconscious and couldnt ride, e report says tat e station attendent pushed e bike to 1 side and it was subsequently stolen. Wat happened before e attack was is unknown to me.

 

Not trying to scare anyone and Of coz not asking fellow riders not to go. But pls pls be careful.

 

If ur bike is flashy, be even more careful. If bringing gal, refrain ur gal from being flashy too.

 

If really encounter problem, can run run, cannot run, do give up e bike. To make things worse is to suffer injury or death on top of monetary loss.

 

Try to be in group although i do not noe how much help tat would be if an even bigger group comes along.

Im riding 07 fz1s and my bike just came back from workshop due to stator and rotor problems. The magnet broke into pieces and small pieces were seen in the stator coil. My bike is at 68k km btw.

Both costs me a little over $1k which i tink is freaking ridiculous.

According to the mechanic its a common problem in yammie bikes. Anyone faced the same problems before? And does it really cost dat much? Thnx in advance!

Hi to all e seniors. I ve another question.

 

1) Wat engine oil do u use for ur fz1? If u could pls specific e numbers (eg: 5W-40) for e oil thickness?

 

2) any reasons u choose this oil?

 

3) if assuming u ride e fz1 for 10 years, do u change a oil to use depending on e age?

 

4) if i dun use e same EO for each servicing, will it be a problem?

It seems happened in this part of the world, but no one can confirm these;

From a mechanic, was told the magnets were glued to the innner side wall of the colis, due to our weather it break off after a few years, same on R1

It also due to the engine oil being used and frquency of change, this one was told by a guy at AM. He said use good engine oil or YamaLube.

 

Nothing concrete about all these, just enjoy my ride lo.

Hi Guys, ystd was my first ride on the NSHW with my Fazer1 Gen1, however after I full throttle, my speedometer only reads 190 - 200kmh. Wonder is it accurate? I should be able to achieve 240kmh?

If we change the magnet before it break off, will it be cheaper? Rather than waiting for it to break n spend 1k.
