Hi guys does anyone know how to do alignment for fork and handlebar? I try unscrew afew screw trying to aligned it but still had a slight bend towards the right. Any thing I can do or step or need to unscrew afew more screw?thanks

Think it's fixed. If u can't align it, then ur handlebar may be bent. Worse case your clamps and trees are bent. Did the bike drop or accident before, probably on the right side? My advise is to send to bike shop to check.

Hi Guys. Any good repair shop for 06 Fz1s? Bike gives a sudden jerk like loss of power when accelerating from low speed. Do I need to service the pump filter? There's plenty of tapping sound from the engine also. Any shop to recommend?

K&t at ubi. My fz6 is there right now. Noisy engine too ..look for clifford.

Niwei just to share. I recently bought a fz6s and the seller showed me receipts of major servicing amounting to 700+ which included tuning of chain tensioner and some other engine parts repairs, checks and adjustments from R S B**** back in july 2014. I sent my newly acquired bike to my trusted mechanic and got a shock. Timing chain was noisy and the guide was worn out, cooling system wasn't running well and thermostat was jammed. One of the Clutch plates broke inside the engine and the clutch housing was also damaged. Radiator hoses were also hardened and water pump seals also leaked. Now the repair costs will be close to 1.5k which i don't mind paying Cos i plan to keep the bike long term. Just thot u all shld be aware of tt shop. Had a bad experience with them with my Honda steed before too altho ' highly ' recommended by other cruiser riders. Maybe only 'regular' customers will get a good job done. *I'm not advertising for clifford, I've been to tachy***, ah f**k and few other bike shops and i trust all my bikes with Clifford. Even went to Raymond (eunos) and even he scolded me for going elsewhere Cos clifford used to work with him.

Lesson learnt, if u trust your mech, don't go anywhere else. I've been riding since 1992 in case u tink im a newbie rider. Clifford is taking care of my steed, scramblers and road bikes. Only the vespa i do myself or send to tong aik.

Hi dear Fazer owners. Hope it dosent sounds daft to you for my following inquiry. At the moment, I have an offer from a private seller for his FZ1S Gen 2, Aug 2006 with LV pipes LTA compliance. COE ends in Aug 2016, which is about 1yr 5-6 months from now. The price of $6.6k.

 

Over the weekend, I have viewed the bike. The outlook at 7/10 with some rusty nuts/bolts at the mirrors and the aftermarket rear box bracket nuts/joints. The bike was able to start on 1st and 2nd attempts. Engine sounds ok. However, upon the 3rd and subsequent attempts to start the bike, it came with 'tick...tick' sounds and she refused to come alive. A strong impression that the battery is flat.

In elaboration, she came with the 2 following detected issues which owner said that he will get it changed and repaired before handing over the ride with the sale price maintained at $6.6K.

 

A) Battery is dead

B) LCD on Speedometer is partially washed off or faded or whatever you term it.

 

The owner mentioned that the magnetic coil was changed last year or so, he is able to push start the bike and thus, his theory revealed that evidently that is a dead battery and not any magnetic coil or battery charging related that caused the bike unable to start. Can you guys give me your expertise advice on this?

 

In summary, what are you guys assessment on the price of $6.6K at her age and condition? I have stopped riding since 2010...can see myself a green horn and lost touch in any bike related discussion for half a decade.

Just married her today. She is 5 yrs old...bought From Bike Production.ignored their customer service and focus on the price lol

anyway,can anyone share when I stop and park my bike after a ride,with the fans running to cool her.what shall be the recommended option

A) leave engine on and fans on to cool her down

B) leave engine off(ignition on) and fans running to cool her down

C) just park,off and remove the key.leave and let natural air to cool her down

 

If B is recommended,will the battery drained as my headlights can't off.

That was what I did earlier after bringing her for a night date. some bro shared that when stop and park, dont put too much concern on the temp. As it depicts the coolant temp. just leave her alone and scram home hehe

Yamaha have replaces newly design stator coil magnets just last year after so long. I just changed them. Wont have these problems again. The magnets this this time is embedded not glued on. just change the magnets and it will be ok.

Dear Fazerians, is it true that most magnetic coil on the fz1s / fz1n keep spoiling?

Would like to clarify this issue, if the coil is faulty, how much does it cost?
