Hi Nomad,

Where did you get the pictures of the items that you had posted? It seems like they are from e-bay. I'm starting to get my bike parts from e-bay, maybe you should too. It's cheap and waiting time is quite reasonable, you are also spoilt for choice. I think e-bay is the way to go unless if you want the items immediately....

Get the parts from eBay or foreign sites eg cruiser customize, pal. When i got my dragstar, I search high n low all over spore but i always got home empty handed. The local cruiser industry is just too small unless u dun mind the quality, LAB has a few pretty nice items. I got quite a number of stuffs from eBay n some sites. Rosli is able to assist u on the passing lamp mounting bar with the lamps but 2nd hand. As for the floorboards, get it online, prepare to fork out a considerable amount of it, it dun come cheap. haha

Got the chrome num plate frame and spike end cap from cruisercustomizing n customize a european num plate from UBI lo. On top of that, aso got spike bolts n nuts from working class choppers site, speedo face from webslinger n DIY blue LED blue. Heartache with the money spent. :giddy:

I soo..... totally understand what you mean bro.

damn. . . . well . . . a good and a bad thing.

"WE" cruisers become head turners on the road because of the limited number of cruisers. But on the other hand, much much more effort, time and money needs to be fork out to live our dream.

Anyone ever tried patronizing local harley dealers to get their parts to fit onto metric bikes?

Sounds like a lot of unnecessary work, since there's loads of plug-n-play stuff that you can buy off the internet specific for your metric...

btw, online HD accessories are sometimes cheaper than the dealer.

Yah lo, only downside is the waiting time. On top of that, got to do yr homework b4 u start to grab things from eBay esp the market price, profile of seller...etc. overall, i m pretty satisfied with the services from my sellers.

When you guys grab stuff from the internet do you DIY install or let a shop do it for you?

if it easy enough for you to DIY, why not?

Or if you prefer, you can send it to a shop and they will do it for you with a small fee

i did the mirrors, fuel tuner, exhaust slip on on my own, the forward controls and rear suspension i got it done by a shop

wanna ride with madness?

Some parts which is easy to fit it on yourself is better to do it yourself coz if you send it to the shops, they'll charge you labor fee, which is not much of course...Just like what maxxmadness said, if you think those parts are easy to fit on then you can do it yourself lah...The hard ones, it's advisable to get a shop to do it for you...

Just like maxxmadness, i fit on my side mirrors, handlebar, exhaust end pipe, did some respraying myself but the rest of it, i definitely will send it to the shops....Also, do mixed around with some of the riders in this forum and they'll definitely will give you a helping hand if it's a simple part to fit on...These riders in this forum are very friendly and helpful.... Good luck to your bike project and cheers...

nice additions there dude. i just received the mirrors i ordered online. looks almost like yours except for the mirror design.

one problem is, the mirror itself is of pretty low quality. the image doesnt seem to be like it is. its like the image is 'distorted'. and when you move, image gets pretty blurry.

do u encounter the same problem with your mirrors?

Seems like its vibrating too much....I recommend getting heavy side mirrors so it doesnt vibrate...
