with 4yrs of driving experience, i was hoping prac2 would be a breeze .. instead, i received a tight slap to my face and left with a severely bruised ego. i had heaps of trouble carrying into action what i knew i had to do. what caught me by surprise was just how inhibitive my helmet was to checking blindspots; i felt encumbered. sickeningly, on the circuit, i constantly forgot to check my blindspots .. but as soon as i got off the bike and started walking, instinctively, i checked them all. crossing the road? right left right. pretty girl? up down left right .. repeat if very pretty.

quick question, must i check back each time i move from a standstill?

let's say i'm in a left turn lane, and currently in position 3 .. after rider 1 moves off, and i have to assume his position, do i check back as i proceed from position 3 to 1, and then check back again when inching out, and then check back again as i make my left turn?

my prac 2 was like ... 1 month after i passed my class 3, so everything was still fresh in my head. thought it would be easy. but noooooo it wasnt.

but instructors say standard maa, check blindspot at the arrow markings on the road.

move off only, check right. (then need to inch uh? i dont know le , all these while i didnt inch out.. hehe) when u wanna make left turn immediately as you are the 1st rider , u check right left.

the blindspot thingy is abit confusing uh. can always clarify with instructors if in doubt. good luck :)

correct me if i am wrong. but i think that whenever move from stationary stop one must at least turn right to check for blindspot if moving forward, check both right and left if moving left/right. hope it helps.

you only check both sides if turning left. when making right turn only check right, even move 1cm (inching forward) must also check back first
