thanks. i don't have tips/technique. but turn slowly, don't throttle too much if not become too wide, but also cannot too slow la, if not you would fall. follow the 2 second rule when travelling when the instructor assessing you lor.

Hi all!

Am asking on behalf of my friend.. For SSDC, they have those bikes with lower seats for shorter trainees and BBDC, they even have a separate model of bike for shorter trainees?

so how about CDC? how are the bikes for shorter trainees? any1 can verify if some1 between 140-150cm able to learn riding?

Thanks

yeap, it's just as bhh has said. but i think those are not meant for learners coz if i'm not wrong, they're automatic scooters.

tbh, i think height is not an issue la .. dunno if anyone else has met her, but i distinctly recall seing a malay auntie who could not have been >1.5m riding the ybr. she had to tip toe when stationary. was a non-issue for her/instructors. hell .. people >1.7m shouldn't be riding scramblers, but alot of them do anyway - sama sama - tip toe when stationary.

if cdc is nearer, u shd just take ur lessons there. (1) realistically speaking, after obtaining ur licence, u're probably not going to confine urself to that one bike which has a lower seat height. might as well get used to riding as u will be, now. otherwise drop bike at traffic light, very paiseh de. (2) unless u have a flair for riding, or prior experience, the road to 2b is going to be a long one. the last thing u want is to give up midway because "aiya so sian to travel to bbdc/ssdc".

join us at cdc! haha. although i'll probably be done with my lessons soon .. coz .. i passed prac 7 today! haha, left prac 8 .. but no available sessions except for next thursday, and i'm not free on that day  bobian wait 2 weeks for prac 8 .. wonder if i can make 28 may tp

bhh first time?

so scary/exciting right? if fail must wait long long for retake, but if pass can go on to tp!

think my weakness is blindspot. today prac7 my instructor told me my method of checking blindspot while turning is incorrect. dunno what he mean. he said i check back, turn head, and then look straight while turning ... but the correct way is to turn head while turning. i just nod nod my head coz had work later, so need to rush off .. but now i wish i asked him what he meant.

yea first time, i went road revision on tuesday, i filter lane too early when approaching the bus stop and at the 2 yellow boxes, my positioning wrong. till now still not sure. first yellow, left right left right and second yellow right left right left?

when turning left at the two junctions? i think that's to prevent from hitting the kerb. I THINK. hahaha

according to the instructors, we should always "cover". i'm assuming this means we won't be penalised for doing so. which means that as far as positioning goes, always go with the flow set by the first bike.

my understanding is that if u're the first bike, u should switch ur signal on after the first yellow box, but not before, unless traffic is bad and u're forced to move to the right lane early to secure your place in the u-turn queue, in which case u should just leave ur signal on after switching it on to do the lane change. and consequently, where you position ur bike is dependent on whether ur signal is on. if it's on (i.e. right signal on), it should always be right left right left right left. if it's not, then left right left right left right.

double check tmr and let me know?

btw, any thoughts on my incorrect method of checking blindspot while turning?

yeah bro, first yellow box is 'left right left right'. 2nd box is 'right left right left'. thats coz ur gonna make the right turn straight after the 2nd yellow box. thats y positioning starts right first. same goes as in the circuit...when out of the start pt...the first formation at the stop line...'right left right left', coz ur making a right turn.
