Electric scooters to hit the roads from April

SINGAPORE: The first batch of electric scooters will hit the roads in April. The vehicles will have special "Greenlots" in various public buildings to recharge their batteries.

Authorities have given the scooters the green light to ply the roads, but they will not be allowed on major expressways just yet. Authorities will review the ban one year down the road.

Are you riding the 125cc version? If yes, then a higher RPM is quite normal, small engine has to work hard to push the heavy chasiss along...

Even the smallest spark can start a massive forest fire...

Thanks. so at 7krpm, i am squeezing max power every time i ride, be it at 40 or 70kmh? and the speed builds up slowly. very strange to have no control over the gears.

how do u display your RFID, road tax.......

125 riders, can share your experience??

No. The handlebar lock position also locks the parking brake.

i left the bike alone over the weekend and this morning the horn started making noise when i turn the power on. after trying to turn it off, i ignored the noise and started the engine. the horn stopped. i believe the bike have its own anti theft alarm? how do i turn it off when it start to horn again?

i suspect someone did something, but what would trigger the horn?

bloody hell, gotta get a cover to try prevent ppl from messing with my bike.

Could be short wire some where...it do happens sometimes if bike is parked in the open...get a mechanic to check or bring it back to the agent.

Or you can try to spray some WD40 at your horn button.

OLD NO GO, NEW NO COME.

it is not a continuous horn.... the horn went por por por...., like car alarm,so dont think it is a short.

How do u handle lock?

1. Turn the handlebars all the way to the left.

2. Ensure parking brake is either fully up or fully down.

3. Turn the key all the way to the left, without pushing (which would open the fuel door instead).
