Hi guys.

its my first time in here this thread. And i hope to get tips from you guys.

i just pass my TP this thursday. Got my RVF ytd @ 4k w/o COE, but ending @ nxt year dec. is this a good price anot?

i totally dont know anything about my bike can someone personally guide me with me bike as i cannot handle the power. i ride between 60 to 80km/hr only everytime and my bike i freaking cold.

even on a bright hot day my bike body frame is still freezing cold and i ask my mech, they say is because we use engine ICE for you.

and my bike needs to run on 2T and my pipe is underseat.

is this true? and is there any meeting so that i can learn from u guys?

 

or any of you guys are free can give me a helping hand by coming out to give me some advice? thanks for reading and sorry for wasting your time. thanks.

hey guys...i need help urgently man...very urgent....where can i find reloan for rvf? i'm been looking and looking but almost nobody wans to do it for rvf...but i was thinking...den how online ppl sell their rvfs? cant be that so many ppl hav full cash rite?

He was the big guy with the glasses, and was the one that headed the very first RVF Polo Tee MO.

hi, i juz got my RVF.. somehow i have some throttling problem. When i throttle to move off, initial stage still ok, got some power. Then as i continue turning, it will come to a point when there is totally no power, then after i pass that stage, power comes back in. Is this normal? If i throttle and maintain throttle at the "powerless" stage, it will stage powerless until i throttle more, or let go throttle.

Hi there,

 

Looking at your siggy, I presume you've upgraded from a roadbike.

 

As long as your RVF's fine, your biting point and throttle/rev control habits need to be changed.

Unlike a road bike, a fully fledged sportbike like the RVF needs to be revved a bit higher than that of a road bike. While that is happening, we also modulate the clutch by feathering it until the clutch plate is fully engaged -- not instantly having the clutch plate fully engaged seconds after moving off...no.

 

It may sound a bit noisy and odd to someone who's just hopped onto a sportbike, but this extra revving does give us a sense of macho-ness. :D

 

** This is some layman terms for now, but if you want detailed read on this phenomena that is present on sportbikes, read up on:

 

[1] The difference between the shape of a sportsbike's and a road bike's piston, and why how squarish or rectangular'ish its shape is plays a part in bike acceleration (aka "pickup").

[2] What powerband (aka "sweet-spot") is, and how it's different between the two

[3] RVF's operating specifications

 

P.S.: Once you have experience on the RVF with the acceleration from zero technique as with above, you'll discover that there's actually other "sweet spots" at certain speeds and at certain RPMs. Won't tell you, you'll have to discover it yourself.

 

Ride safely dude. A V4 bike is one sweet bike if you know how to control it :thumb:
