original retfier is the one without fins n if u wans wif fins, U can also used super4 retfier. I tried tat b4.... Up to nw, my CBr400 have change 2 owner n the battery & retfier still working very well, no problem at all.

Super 4 rectifier looks smaller as compared to the original RVF rectifier. But so far so good no problem with my batt and rectifier. GSXR400 rectifier will be bigger U can try... so far feed back not bad.

hmmm..... for me i using rvf got fin one year liao ... so far so good ... i think honda specially make a recifier got fin one for rvf sure got the purpose wan....

 

so for my view if best use to oem wan ....

Hi guys, just for all V4 riders's general knowledge regarding the Honda rectifier/regulator.

It is well known that the NC35/NC30 and many other Honda models' Regulator/Rectifiers would often go bad and cause riders to get stranded without lights at night, and even completely stranded in the

middle of nowhere. Honda has done something about it.

 

Part numbers 31600-KY2-600, 31600-KY2-701, 31600-KY2-702,

31600-Ky2-703 and 31600-MV4-000 have now all been replaced by Honda part number 31600-MV4-010. This is an updated Regulator/Rectifier Genuine Honda Part now with cooling fins.

 

To order this improved part from where ever yo decide, you must quote the above part no.

So HONDA has made rectifier with cooling fins specially for RVF? Alright Think its time to have my rectifier change again. Yup u are right Honda will not design a retifier wtihout a purpose.
