btw, what does a 520 conversion do?

typical 600s' 520 conversion will change e sprockets ratio 15/45 with a 520 chain (lighter & smaller ). Im not really sure wat size is e sprockets for 400s'

decrease weight/increase acceleration

lighter and smaller also means faster wear and tear right?

better acceleration

seems 520 is not the option for more top end/fuel efficiency

thinking of up front sprocket by 1 teeth, down rear by 3

for better fuel efficiency. fuel range is too short ah.... pump every 2 days :sian:

motorworld's afam sprockets is stock size one right?

where to find afam sprockets with the number of teeth i want?

hi all bros,

Hope you can help. I have a friend coming to Singapore soon for business and hope to to pick up parts for his RVF400. Can someone give name of shops carrying goos stock of Honda original parts for the RVF400?

From what I heard, it's similar to the RFV model too. He doesn't have much time here so he will need some good place to go to.

Thx lah.

zod can find ur sprockets at motoworld. Their afam come in lots of size. I had mine done there. 520 with x-ring think $240. Teeth 16, 37. Really got diffference. You can hold both sprockets and really feel the weight.

so what actually defines this 520 conversion?

let's say compare a stock 525 15/39 teeth with a 520 15/39 teeth

the difference is that 520 chain is smaller/thinner than 525

and the sprockets are correspondingly fitted to 520/525 chain

is this correct?

wat parts you need? then I give you the address, where you can find the parts....there are quite a few places carrying various parts....

in singapore, exterior parts are usually quite common for RVF but engine interiors will be difficult to find....another way is to order from boon siew first, once your friend arrive can collect from them...but must order in advance if they dun have stock and they are generally 10-20% more expensive than other shops.
