that's a really cool RVF with a R1 look. Where can I get it done? I like that look on my bike as well. Is it just changing the head fairing?

Cheaper doesnt mean better really..

K&T prices are slighlty high, but worth it for the good workmanship and reliablilty.

You can try First Motor also.. They do RVF also.

Eh... Did you read my post after fierymonkey's?

Your queries are answered there... And no, it doesnt just involve changing the head fairing. That bike change whole set fairings to get a more sleeker look..

thanks for the advice, but i think i would prefer to go back to the previous owner mechanics as he knows the bike very well....looks like alot of things to take care, but i like the power....not too much and not too little as well....just nice....

one question, is it very difficult to go down to neutral? i had to let the engine die to get to neutral....very troublesome leh....on first gear to neutral when engine running is so difficult....kick until i give up....

hi nitekidz, i'm not a rvf rider but just tot of giving u a tip regarding yr prob... u can try by blipping yr throttle, clutching out n back in n shifting to neutral... all this has to be done at d same time... should work... or u can trying downshifting on braking, using yr engine brake to help u stop too, n then frm 2nd just tap down to neutral... tats wat i normally do

There is three reasons for this to happen:

1. Never do engine oil change, as carbon substance content is too thick inside your gear box, which affect you when u change gears.

2. Never change engine oil filter, as carbon content inside your filter choked your oil circulation as engine oil circulates between your gearbox and oil filter when your bike moves. This causes a irregular oil flow which is not smooth, therefore changing gear is more difficult.

3. This is the most serious one which is more likely to have happen, clutch plates inside your gearbox have become slimer and silmer as u are using too much engine brake instead of your front and rear brakes. This is the most expensive repair job which u have to do by changing clutch plates inside your gearbox.

Remember to apply more of front and rear brakes often instead of engine brake by clutch in to drop gears without using your front and rear brakes, after u have fixed up this situation in order to cut costs of this changing clutch plate repair job.

For me I only use engine brake when doing cornering without stopping from gear 6 to gear 3 or 4 at high speed. If I want to stop, I will use front and rear brake to stop and then clutch in to shift my gears back to neutral.

Don't use engine brake together with front and rear brake to stop your bike at the same time.

Do u copy what I mean???

I think the experts have answered ur questions..

In short, either u need to change Engine oil, oil filter or clutch plates..

I suggest change ur EO and oil filter and see how it is..

Your summary is short and sweet, that's very good. As it really took me to crack my brains to come up with all the full explaination and reasons to tell him the truth. Ended up he still don't understand. He really stress me out because I really dunno how to explain it further. But it is ok as he is still new in riding RVF400RR, while I am a former RVF owner.

It can be neither of these 3.

I changed all 3 at once before, no difference.

But I've got used to it, and it's not a problem anymore.
