hey dude, it might b ur clutch housin.... 1 of e mech told me tat b4 installin a new set of clutch plates they gotta file e clutch housin... so they dont rub against each other.... i had a similar prob.... i did tried filing the clutch housin... it improved a lot.... much much easier to go to neutral..... regardin e engage 1st gear ur bike move 2 - 3 cm is most probably ur metal plate slightly dented as in not fully flat... so may b tats y....
