do u think that when u change rank ur riding skill gets better? when ur rank up to the rank of the highest are u eligible for MotorGP in Sepang getting top 10?? oR perhaps ur rank get higher ur knowledge abt different category of bikes increased too? If thats the case i guess i shall need ur enlighten on modding of bikes especially SP which i felt tha u are very experienced in SP.As for RVF i should also ask u too instead of asking those laojiao such as RVF Rossi, Asan, FuFu and some other people.

Nels0n, sorry sorry i spoke too soon, I thought the leak was at your sidestand -- thought it was coolant

 

Anyways, touch the fork. It should *not* be oily to the touch at all.

If it is, then there's a problem. It could either be:

 

1. That the fork seal is worn out (this "gasket" -looking thingy is what keeps the fork oil inside the fork)

 

2. The fork has scratches/imperfections, allowing the fork oil to slowly leak out.

 

 

FYI: You know why when some people wanna "test the suspension," they sorta begin pushing the front down and up? That's because in the event the fork oil isn't enough (maybe it leaked out or it's not enough?), the feel of the forks will either be so soft and spongy, and will be very bouncy.

 

The fork oil is what "firms up" the forks, so during bike travel, your forks will firmly cushion any bumps.

Anyways, I've asked Bikelab how much they will charge for a fork change. I can't disclose the price breakdown here but add all the parts and workmanship price, it will cost an RVF rider around $700+ for both sides.

 

Superb expensive. that why better confirm not fork problem if not ......

its best you go down to any bike shop and get the latest insurace pricing for various insurance companies. Price vary based on age, riding exp, overloading due to accident claims,NCD (10-15%) 2nd/3rd party etc.

i was quoted $645 for 3rd party. age is 19. yrs of experience is 1yr. no ncd. bike year of reg is 1997.

eh i no intention to play wif him , but i riding lane 1 at ard 120km/h den behind got 1 accord flash and tailgate me so CB , den beside me is evo den i speed up den e evo also rev up sia . den i dulan i drop gear open more trottle pass them cut thru car den i relax at lane 3 liao .. den e evo purposely pass me on lane2 , den i see he infront lane clear i change back to lane1 den cb e accord flash me again . den i really BTH overtake them all till very infront (cos got some car i bike easy) den i jitao relax e most left lane till e evo and accord play liao . dono is fren or purposely disturb me i pillion my gf don wan go care him lolz.

for mine 2nd party NTUC wif 10% NCD age 19 bike year1999(produce) 2000(1st register) quoted $99*++ . 1098.** for no NCD .
