DIY-ing pole and hazard/pilot light

Hello all.

 

im interested in DIY-ing pole and hazard/pilot light. anyone knows how to do it and how much it cost and where to get the parts?

1) buy a pair of signal lights from ahboy

2) remove ur headlight bring it home

3) find drill bit to drill ur headlight to slot in the signal light socket(the thing that holds the bulb)

4) change the color of the pole light u wan.. the bulb model is t10

5) link the wires urself the + and - to a switch and then u can direct link to your battery if u wan.. if not the + to your ignition fuse, the - to any ground

6) you're done..

whats grounding?

You will need the following for doing up the pole lights ...

 

- 2 × T10 holder (buy the holder itself instead of signal lights; it's cheaper)

- 2 × T10 bulb of your choice colour

- Switch, wiring, black tape or heat-shrink tubing

 

Never connect lighting directly to the battery - there is a slight chance that faulty wiring can lead to a fire. Also try not to use black tape to seal wiring - use heat-shrink tubing if possible.

 

As for hazard lights, you will need a diode and a separate switch. It is advisable to use another Engine Stop/Run switch to operate it.

hmm.. do correct me if im wrong

 

for pole light

drill holes in the headlight and put in the t10 bulb with the socket

then connect the bulbs to the battery and in between the wiring add in a swtich?

 

for hazard light

add additional wiring to the signal lights and connect all 4 signal lights to a relay under my speedo meter and then to the battery

in btw the relay and the battery add in a switch?

 

hmm. the prob now is i dunno to use how many pin switch for the wiring.

wa sound chim to me. any shop recommend to do all these? thinking to get a white brighter headlight, and hazard light on both front and back signal

Hmm white bulbs are warmer n will melt a chiong headlight assembly - not recommended. As for hazard lights on SP, I do install it - PM me for more info ...

Pilot light - u mean pole lights? Lyk the one in the photo above. Similarly, PM or MSN me for more info bah ...
