How would that be possible??? Unless there's some documents inside the bike with the TS's number on it, I doubt the thief would try and contact TS. They risk getting caught in the exchange.

of course its possible.

with the internet, its not hard to get info.

SBF is huge. we have heaps of ppl all over asia surfing the net here.

we post details such as who is going to sepang when and all that, they know who rides what, when , where n how.

plus the equatorial/sepang deal was that ppl staying there get to park right out front infront of the lobby. all this was on sbf also.

if and when the insurance co. pays out could be 6mths or longer at half the mkt value or less. if the thief approaches him now, ask for rm10,000 instead, its a win win situation for both parties as he loses less than making an insurance claim and the thief gets cash instantly.

Most people go through life following the crowd.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

:thumb: to u hoping that the owner recovers his bike..i hope for that too..

The point is that you do not know anything about motorcycle touring and the passion that some people have for it..it aint got anything to do with prevention.you can lock ur bike with 1001 locks yet if someone wants to steal it they will go all out.so what other preventive methods r u talking bout? stop riding to Malaysia? I am SORRY but please think the next time round before u let ur fingers do the talking..

yup i agree ...

try to imagine

to lock your bike with 100000000 locks

they bring 10 strong body builders ...

they just need to lift your bike up the lorry ....

nowdays ... big bikes are getting lighter ...

Past to present rides

I may not know anything about motorcycle touring, but my point it's prevention is better than cure. Not trying to be sarcastic or anything.

Last but not least, hope the owner recover his bike.

If to you, prevention is better then cure, then please surrender your licence to the nearest police station, and sell your motorcycle.

Proceed then, to lock yourself at home, eating only sealed packaged organic foods from well known trusted brands. You can order it online.

Not trying to be sarcastic or anything.

But what happens when your credit card details are stolen while you purchase your organic food online or the bogus delivery guy attempts to rob u when u answer the door to collect? :giddy:

Hey all,

I am the other victim who lost a CBR1000 bike in Prescott Inn, KL. My uncle also lost his R1 in Machap RnR on the way home from KL while I was his pillion rider. My bike is last seen at 3am. Bike first owned by me and milage is abt 6k. Yes 6K. I already heard the news about ghost04 in KL from our IO in-charge.

So plans had to be reset and sacrifice had to be made. In the end I left KL for Singapore with only 2 bikes, BMW (dad) n R1(uncle). On the way, the R1 was stolen right in front of our eyes. Scenario - we parked. secured. climbed up the stairs to the stalls to buy drinks. Less than 4 mins that we secured our bikes, we heard a loud revving of engine. I stood up and saw the BMW alone parking and the R1 missing. We did saw the rider riding it off. The culprit is a guy riding a white K7 GSX1000 (Singapore registration plate) equipped with an aftermarket exhaust system and 2 guys riding a cub. All speeding off together with the R1(my uncle).

Trust me guys. Less than 5 mins and the R1 is gone.

My bike plate no is FBB7569X. appearance:

Original black fearings 07 model.

Arrow end can exhaust pipe.

My uncle's bike plate no is FU3695T. appearance:

Original blue fearings y2k R1.

Anyone knows about my uncle's n my bike pls contact me at 92763656. As for CAPTAIN BIKERS , thanks alot for also helping to arrange some plan B as soon as they found out that my bike was missing and that the R1 was tampered with..
