Hi guys. How much does it cost to do normal servicing at Ah Gua Lane i.e. engine oil change, oil filter change, air filter cleaning, brake check, fuel line check etc?

Are they able to service Class 2 bikes also? Thanks!

yeah... not recommended for Class 2A/Class 2 bike to go in unless going in for makan and buying of stickers and/or Leds... the rest? You can forget about it.. :D Just my recommendations...

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks... :cool:

if can afford to upgrade bikes, service in SG better, in term of cls2a n cls2 bikes stuffs SG mech knows lot more than JB mech, JB mech is specialized in 2B bikes while SG mech specialize in all bikes.

somemore u wan air filter cleaning? do they have the air filter cleaner to service your filter in the first place? do they even have oil filter tat can fit to cls 2a/2 bikes??

no offence btw.

Hi guys. Thank you for all the comments. No offence taken at all SparkerS1. In fact, I appreciate all the straightforward no BS comments.

Looks like it's a unanimous 'vote', that Class 2 bikes should be serviced in SG. Given the population of Class 2 bikes in SG vs JB, I think it is wise as well.

I beg to differ. You technically can service your class 2A/2 bike in JB. Just need to find out where. I have serviced my bike in KL before. But price wise, SG is slightly cheaper. Most stuff (EO,Oil Filter, Fluids) are at a premium there (unless u don't mind using local brands like Petronas.) Side track abit, motul EO is cheaper there by the way.

Labour is dirt cheap there. I had my front brakes flushed at only $RM20. (Done in KL btw)

I have a list lifted off a Malaysian forum of recommended shops that handle 2A/2 bikes in Malaysia. Though theres only 1 recommended 1 in JB, there's alot in the rest of the country. Feel free to PM should you be interested in looking at it :thumb:

Even better, here's the link :thumb: http://ridersmalaya.forumotion.com/workshop-motor-f3/list-workshop-di-malaysia-mengikut-negeri-t73.htm

I used to service my class 2 bike K2 in AGL by Hou Heng Motor. Not bad. The boss has very good worksmanship. Till now I still go in for him to troubleshoot my bike. When he encounter things that he cannot do such as dyno or mapping, he will then recommend me to go back to S'pore to do ( for those shop with proper equip ). Price wise is confirm plus chop cheaper than S'pore for labour cost. The boss will ask you to get spare part from S'pore direct if he dont have the stock. =)

Hey guys.. can i ask something.. anyone know the full service provided at AGL got include wash carb? or just wash piston, block and change coolant?

5 June 08 -> Pass 2B

8 June 08 -> NSR150 SP FU***S

Posted

of cuz include wash carb...

Full servicing wash carb, piston and block.. for EO and coolant have to top up $$$ for the items only, service fee is free... If required to change parts like piston ring, add $$$ again lor... but.. normally, piston ring need to change, cost around $60-$85 for KR..
