Hi fellow Gilera riders,

 

i see alot of u guys paint your transmission box and fork. Where did u get yours done and how much it cost you? Im looking at a quality shiny work. Not those anyhow paint one. :cheeky: Please keep em coming so I can compare.

there's someone posted the price of sprayin of transmission cover at 3gk's thread i think... for onli 20bucks at tampines industries just behind ite tamp there... for more info, ask evilboy...

usually org buat sendiri ah as far as i noe...or maybe im the only one who sprayed it myself?!! wakaka ;) anyway from experience, transmission kalau spray it wont really last sooner or later nanti cracks will appear den again maybe its my bike only??!! but that was 05' transmission cover maybe 08' transmission covers r betta?? gd luck :)

alternative way is to take it out, clean it and send for powdercoat.

will last longer

agreed with Sheep... if you want quality... get it powdercoated.. There's a place in AMK indust part 2, (near the place that restores VW beetles)... guy has done harley stuff before and is happy to do small jobs... Also used to ride a Lammy back in the day... so ok in my book :)

 

I'll be sending my vespa fork, stand, front wheel etc for powdercoating there on sat... will advise on the actual address + price... but if I forget, send me a pm...

 

btw, get the parts sand blasted first (to remove rust, grime and old paint)... Try mechem engineering on Joo Koon Road (Jurong)... very good job done for me there...
